@@Fan-Nimater101it is just for kids. Nothing in the plot makes sense. Most of the characters don’t make sense. An adult can clearly see that this was supposed to be an 8-10 episode series with plenty of filler and exposition to flesh out the characters and story line. This movie did no such thing. Every one is flat, there’s no reasoning for doing what she’s doing. In the first movie, the darkness from the creation goddess is eating islands because Maui stole her essence, her heart. The ocean chose Moana to go on a quest because of her heart. Makes sense. There’s literally no reasoning for the second movies “plot”. But the animation is fantastic so kids will love it, adults will snooze every time that their kids want to watch it on Disney+. So kudos to the cash grab, I guess.

Missing Lin Manuel Miranda really sucks. It’s a shame that he was too busy with Mufasa to contribute to this film. Regardless, I’m forward to seeing it this weekend!

Definitely will see it this week. Fun Fact his daughters are in it as well voicing the Kids Maui throws his Stab to and holding a pig that is so sweet and cute cool. He danced with his mother on the premiere in Hawaii that was sweet as well. Yeah kinda sad he doesn´t have worked on the Songs but I guess those new ones aren´t that bad some. They presented at D23 Expo earlier this August and it wasn´t as bad as the older ones. Wondering if Lin was too busy or what is going on if he still will do Songs in the Future for Disney. Hopefully we getting also back the Duo that has done the Frozen Songs those were amazing ones so far as well. Even when I am missing Alan Menken HITS as well hope they will use him again sometime his Iconic Songs were great Hits either.

It's getting very mixed and bad reviews. The overall consensus is that it's pretty mid and doesn't come close to being nearly as good as the first film, very similar to Frozen 2. Many reviewers are saying how it does feel like a straight to Disney+ tv series compressed into a movie

The fact the music is not as good, I think could be a bad sign for the movie. The music from the 1st Moana is one of the reasons its continues to do so well on Disney+. I predict this movie will have a decent opening, but maybe not the best legs, the familes will maybe see it once but then wait for disney+. I cant see it becoming a hit on the level of Inside out 2,

All the reviews are very mixed and mid. No one is saying it comes anywhere close to being as good as the first film, let alone potentially better. Hearing that it's better than Disney's complete dog shit like Strange World and Wish, but still not nearly as good as stuff like Encanto, Frozen 1, Wreck-It-Ralph 1, Zootopia, etc.

@waniyasalman1846 as he said, the songs were totally forgettable and really forced in, characters weren't developed, there was no sense of peril at all because they were all just tossed around frantically without ever getting hurt. Aside from that, everythimg was magic so if something bad happened some magic would just step in and make things right. No real bad guy to fight. You just didn't care about anything or anybody because nothing made sense. Simply awful.
