It’s on purpose I think. They animate based on the mannerisms when the cast record their dialogue. So even if the character doesn’t physically look like their voice actor, they likely do things he/she would do. I think Belle tucks her hair aside because Paige O’Hara did too.

There is a live action version in the works. Along with an animated sequel Moana 2. But Aulii won't be doing the live action version because she has been ridiculed into believing her skin tone is not dark enough. And she doesn't accurately represent the character / culture of Moana. This comes from our current culture. They have her believing this. Not sure if she is doing the animated Moana 2 even. A lot of this current culture stuff has gone too far.

They’re sitting in a room talking about the position of a character’s hand…and the painstaking rendition of each strand of hair or eye movement. I hate to admit it, but watching Jemaine Clement sing Shiny, I just kind of sat and watched in complete awe. Not only because I love his singing voice but because his facial expressions, if you were to take away the audio, just look like he's talking normally, yet this powerful voice is coming out of it which confuses me. I also really love the power in Dwayne Johnson's singing voice as well. All of the songs are pretty great though.
