How many cattle are you running per acre and how many sheep. Do you ever run the sheep. Behind the cattle? By a week or so for example?

Nice to see a no/low glyphosate system. Interesting to see what you can direct-drill without needing a bare tilth as such. Did some seeds/plants take better than others when you drilled them?

It’s come better towards the top of the field where the clay content in the soil is a bit lower. Hard to tell which species have done best yet, we’ll be able to tell over the coming weeks when everything starts growing properly. But hopeful it will all be there.

As long as the poly wire is kept tight they work pretty much any where, on our farm anyway. Would work fine on a decent slope.

Hi Billy. Do you ever have issues with the water heating in the blue polly pipe on the surface in the summer sun?300m can hold some water. Will you do a bull video? Stages of growth and nutrition etc

We’d need some sunshine for that! 😆But in all seriousness no, we don’t have issues with water heating. I’ll do a video on some of the cow family’s and which bulls we’re using on what in a few weeks once everything is out. 👍

Hello. I have hereford cattle and try to rotational grazing with them. I have question what kind of hose do you use ? Can say more about water, it is the biggest issue. This year i,m looking for shorter ways to water for cattle.

No, we don’t treat with anything when they are out grazing. We have a lot of dung beetles! 🪲

Doesn’t the loose nutritional value of you don’t graze tight? That’s what was taught to me when I was grazing dairy cows and you could notice it in the milk yield if the paddock wasn’t grazed tight the time before

On the cattle pasture there’s no such thing, they’ll just go into massive covers and smash it down! On the sheep grazing yea, we’ll drop a field out and make silage.

Are you pinwheeling around your water point looks beat up. Your doing a lot of things right. Be carefully not to have any bare soil. Cattle are beautiful.
