The Sopranos was so unbelievably good that each episode was like watching a great movie. Someone could do a full-length analysis and deep dive on probably all 86 of the episodes. It was THAT good.

The guy who would talk about his day and his mob activities to his family reminds me of my father. My father was a doctor and would come home and talk about his operations he performed. After a while I became numb. People would try to gross me out. Try again. No disrespect to my dear departed father but I had to tune it out at the dinner table. My father was consumed by the medical profession meaning being on call, the chief of surgery at the hospital. There was a lot of time he was not around. When he was around he was not always easy to be around but the good times were good. And he had hilarious one liners. I can make the parallel how mob life and my fathers life was consuming and had an impact on the family. A good episode Michael. I can relate with you on this one. ✌️🙂. Take care.

Great video! Just to clarify, “confessing to Jesus “ isn’t necessarily more personal it’s easier. Jesus started the sacrament of reconciliation with the apostles when he had risen by ordering them that “the sins they bind on earth will be bound in heaven and those you loose on earth…etc” Jesus didn’t tell the apostles to simply let people pray the confession. It should be uncomfortable and difficult to confess as it should be to commit sin.

I have a question for Michael - so did you ever run into a "Feech" situation where somebody had done some time, and came back out with a chip on their shoulder... to the point where the crew decided they needed to violate parole. Did that ever happen? Obviously on occasion there's a Billy Batts / Devino scenario, but that sounds like that had more to do with Jimmy not wanting to hand back the sports betting he was running, more than the "go get your shine box" issues (although Tommy sounds like he was a real animal, so that surely played a part as well); and of course wasn't sanctioned by the bosses. Was there a "Feech" they sent back in ever? :D

I have a better question....Why was it only Tommy DeSimone that got killed for that hit? Why did Henry Hill and Jimmy "The Gent" Burke get a free pass? They all took part in killing a made man.

@@nathannelson2018 because Jimmy Burke was an asset whereas DeSimone was a piece of shit who was a liability. Just like pro sports or any other profession, you can get away with breaking the rules sometimes if you are contributing to the organization

Very touching show. I know our house had all kind of issues. My dad was involved in gambling run ultimately by Chicago outfit. What was more impactfull was the affairs my dad had. It tore my mom up. They would argue he hit her, very violent, and tense. Good show.. you did a good job expressing the fragility of the children's need for love and to be able to trust and believe their parents, especially the father. I live in the Indianapolis area now and know your brother Jr. Met him attached AA meetings yrs. Ago.
