Also younger sibilings use Nii-san/Nee-san when adressing the older siblings but the older tend to use the younger given name to adresse him, thus Ritsu call Mob "nii-san" while Mob calls him Ritsu. There is also some variation on the word used depending on how formal you want to sound and what filling you want to give: nii-san is standard, just going with onii-san instead of nii-san is already a slight difference in formality, change the san with chan and you show lesser formality and demonstrate fondness of your older sibiling, add sama and it's very formal and demonstrate a higher than normal respect, use aniue and you are hyper formal and a bit archaic showing respect, but hinting at an extremely traditional environment. There is even more as Aniki, Oni-tama, Ani-ja, Anego and such.

Quick Japanese lesson that can help with future anime! Ritsu calls Shigeo “Nii-San” (shortened version of “Oni-San” [お兄さん] ) which is a slightly informal (more cutesy and intimate if anything) way of saying big brother. Shigeo calls Ritsu “Otouto” [弟] which is a formal way of saying little brother. It is extremely common for younger siblings to refer to their older siblings with their title as an older sibling as opposed to their actual name in many Asian cultures; it’s a sign of respect. Older siblings typically use their younger siblings title a little less, and use their given name more. Hope this helps! (P.S. There are multiple titles for each different relation. Depending on the title a character uses to another, you can typically comprehend the type of relationship they have with each other. Mainly gauging their intimacy and respect for each other.)

One example of the brilliant layers to the story development that takes watching it twice to pick up. When Ritzu tells the reporter to stay away from Mob; he's not trying to protect Mob from the reporter, he's trying to protect the reporter from Mob's powers.

"How do the translate in japanese" with the Adore/Abhore thing - it's pretty clever actually. They use the character "妨 " which means "disturb, prevent, hamper, obstruct" - composed of the character '女' woman and '方' which is the tip of a knife blade, but means 'from/direction' plus a lot of other things (there are like 30 definitions on Wiktionary) - The character the author of the letter meant to use was "好 " which means "good," (hao4) in Chinese but in Japanese it means "like" or love - if you've seen anime you've probably heard characters say they "ski" or "daiski" eachother, that's translated as like/love in romantic settings - (technically Romanized as "suki" but you don't usually hear the 'u' sound - also that's the word that caused huge controversy as to whether it should be translated as 'like' or 'love' in a specific scene in Evangelion). Anyway, pretty clever bit of translation to come up with Adore/Abhor for that joke.

I'm a bit late, but you were wondering about the translations. in the "love letter", the Japanese used similar-looking characters: 妨 (disturb, obstruct) instead of 好 (together with the following き, means "to like", or "to be romantically interested in"). So, the English using similar-looking/-sounding words with abhor / adore fits.

My Japanese isnt good but the way i understand it is Ni-san is basically a more personal way of saying big brother a one to one direct translation wouldn't have the same meaning in English which is probably why its not in English in the subtitles. Oni-san would be a formal way of saying it. The san part is a honorific denoting what someone is to you. Mobs friends will often call him mob-Kun kun shows that they think of each other as friends. Shiego-chan that dimple used is something you would say to like a baby brother which is why Mob threatened him

Fruit and vegetables aren't mutually exclusive! Vegetable is a culinary term for some forms of plant matter, whereas a fruit is the part of the plant which carries the seed, and is often colourful and sweet in order to attract an animal to eat it and spread the seeds when it poops. So in terms of cooking you might call an avacodo a vegetable, because its a main part of a plant used in cooking, but it is also a fruit because its the part of the plant which carries the seeds! The best example is the cucumber, people say "That's not a vegetable, it's a fruit!" but in fact it could be called either :)
