This is actually the series finale and it was a beautiful conclusion. Shigeo finally had the courage to confess to Tsubomi, got rejected and continued to better himself for no other reason than to better himself. Wish I had this series when I was younger, would’ve helped me make some realizations much sooner. Also him finally showing his emotions rather than holding them in, felt so good to see.

Also the fact that Mob was able to be very emotional after rejection and not lose control of his powers. Gonna miss this show so much, it will forever hold a special place in my heart.

@Nathan Del Mar That's true, Mob's emotional growth over the course of the series was beautiful to watch.

Shigeo and Reigen’s bond is the backbone of the whole series. It made perfect sense that in the end, it would be Reigen to reach Mob and snapped him out of it. One of the best mentor and protege relationships in all anime. They helped each other improve and grow and that’s one of the most lovely things about this series.

20:44 Ritsu is just having a flashback to when they first met. They met there and Ritsu escaped because Teru's wig almost flew away when the wind blew.

for me the purpose was to show the grow of teru and how he finally found a hairstyle he finds himself comfortable with

@@Moon-wy2co i know im replying 7 months later but i think it just means that his hair finally grew back. He was no longer wearing a wig to cover the bald spot Mob left him in their first encounter, because the bald spot is now gone.

apparently the translation is kinda bad or it's covered in the manga, but dimple coming back because mob kept him in his heart is meant to be like in season 2 when the dragger urban legend became real from everyone believing in it

Mob psycho really is the perfect package huh? I know it's not for everyone, some people may not like the artstyle, some maybe don't enjoy the slow burn, some probably didn't even give it a shot cause they were told that it's one punch man with psychic powers.. but the journey i went on with mob from the first episode i watched back in 2016 until the last episode i watched in 2022 is something that'll stay with me forever. One of the very few stories that actually changed my outlook on my life and made me want to treat the people around me better. "If everyone is not special maybe you can be what you want to be" , "your life is your own" , "you're one and only one". These words mean so much to me.. i can't be perfect, but no one can, so being the best version of me is what I'll strive to be and if i can do that, I'll be satisfied. In terms of manga, i would say Vinland saga is my favorite story but when it comes to anime nothing will ever dethrone mob psycho 100 for me. Some of it may be nostalgia even if it isn't that old of a show but i think seeing mob grow also helped me grow without me realizing it, i now feel confident saying no to things i don't wanna do and telling people honestly and respectfully how i feel about them without feeling guilty about it all night. i could go on and on about how mob helped me work on myself but this comment is already more than long enough lol. Farewell mob

Technically something can be animated with Tome and her adventures with Reigen
@fredwardandthebear31928 ай бұрын
It takes a particularly high level of introspection and self-acceptance to confess to someone that you've maintained a lie for so long. Reigen didn't believe Mob knew, because he'd never outright told him, but I believe Mob has known for a while at this point. And I think that's important, because he knows Reigen himself is keeping a facade, and hiding who he really is from even those closest to him, and Mob is doing the exact same thing with his feelings. So when Mob hears Reigen grow and fully admit to his mistakes, it clicks in Mob's own mind. He's been battling himself this whole time, trying to keep the parts of him that he feels ashamed of buried deep within, but he ultimately can't stop them without accepting that they make him who he is. It's a realization I believe only Reigen could've helped him with in that moment, because the two of them ultimately have similar struggles.

There is a custom in japan where people take off their shoes (and socks) before they enter the afterlife. That's why Reigen took off his shoes and socks 10:44

I think it's brilliant how a series like Mob Psycho, a series that was comedy mixed with a bit of slice of life and some shonen for the longest time, actually turned out to be an emotional rollercoaster and a series with depth, a series about accepting yourself just with those past few episodes. When you look back at it you will of course realise that in part that has always been the case, but those few episodes are what really added depth and weight to it. What a beautiful story this was in the end, and I think the semi-open ending with Tsubomi was a brilliant conclusion. It wasn't the perfectly happy, unrealistic, lovey-dovey ending but at the same time it wasn't just brutal rejection either. The fact that she waited for Mob through everything that was happening to her and that despite being rejected, they moved closer to one another and actually started communicating on a regular basis. A beautiful ending with a bit of realism, open enough for those who would like the two of them to end up together (go on then, Parker) to imagine that their contact will lead to more down the line, and at the same time showing as a happier, more open Mob even after getting rejected, because the most important thing wasn't not getting rejected, but it was finally accepting himself, every part of himself, including his powers. 12:33 And just to clarify, up to this point it really was Reigen who kept getting up, running for Mob, trying to reach him. It's only after he was put down by Mobs gravity wave that Dimple took over to allow him to show up here.

About that Ritsu scene. He was going to tell Mob not to go with Teru to buy T-shirts but got a Flashback of the first time they met and how Teru intimidated the crap out of him, so he decided to switch the topic.

While Reigen might be lying about having powers, he's not a complete fraud and holds legit business. I mean, his clients have their problems fixed and demands fulfilled either through Reigen's massage techniques or through Mob's psychic powers.

Seeing how you've reached the end of this beautiful journey, any chance the new addition for the free slot is gonna be one of these: - Tower Of God - Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood (those of you who haven't seen it yet at least) - God Of High School - Cautious Hero: The Hero who is Overpowered but Cautious - Tokyo Ghoul (yes, the series is a bit of a mess compared to the manga, but still very enjoyable and the first season is still amazing; second is a good watch but not in line with the manga, so some inconsistencies; after that the seasons follow the manga more closely again and are decent, but I don't feel they're as good as the first ones unless you're really hooked by then)
