Looks lovely. Do open a window in each room with the new carpeting. The carpeting will emit gases for the next day or so and will make breathing difficult if you don't allow the rooms to air out.

Vacuum out all floor vents, for cleaner breathing. It's surprising what comes out of a vent. I helped a friend clean his renovated mobile home, and vacuumed up a old mouse nest. I used a shop vacuum and put the hose into the vent as far as it would go. Blessing as you enjoy your hard work.

Also check the filter for the furnace. I've marked my calendar to check every 6 weeks. Cleaner breathing, allows the furnace to be more efficient.

My carpet is the same color but has that marbled/different lengths look from the 80s. I replaced the carpet in the living room and hall before I moved in 18 years ago to a slightly lighter color than what you had put in your bedrooms. I'd love to redo the carpet or get faux wood laminate for the kitchen/living/hall.

Oh yes I know which one you are talking about. Hopefully you can do that one day. Both were relatively inexpensive for us. In total we spend slightly under 3k.

I brought contractors pack of outlet covers and covers for light switches a while back when i converted a shed into tiny house for a canning kitchen and had enough for the moblie home also. At Home Depot it was cheap

if you haven't already destroyed it, you could possibly use just the shelving part of that piece you took out and put it in the corner where the nothingness was. like if you can separate them somehow. then you wouldn't have just a hole between the cabinet and the small wall. or you could hang some shelves in that hole and keep your counter space.

Yes we have similar ideas. I was thinking of putting some shelves. But I wanted the countertop space. So maybe I'll use the shelves for cook books and such. 😁

Yes we did vinyl planks that look like wood. It was pretty easy but hard at the same time 😄

Oh I love carpet in the bedrooms…it’s just cozy and warm in the winter. If I ever get to buy a house or mobile home I would do carpet in the bedrooms and LVP in all the other rooms.
