One thing I’ve found will happen in areas I try to prevent grass by laying down a flat surface, then mulch or gravel, even tho grass will not grow thru it, over time grass that is flung aside from a lawn mower will eventually take root and grow, I guess using dust as dirt. Be on the lookout for that.

Stephanie don't sell yourself short, you completed a great deal of projects. That takes time and money. For me the patio area and fence made the biggest addition to your outdoor beautification.
