This makes me wonder. The pirate ship April fools did eventually give way to actual naval combat. It’s a pipe dream, but it makes me imagine infantry.

I could easily see APCs and IFVs getting dismounts. you can already jump to a second vehicle in naval: it might not be impossible for you to just take command of your infantry.

I mean War Thunder is at least trying for some kind of realism in RB, so it'd make sense to have infantry. In real life Tank Battles without infantry basically never happened.

i like how it took everyone approximately one day to figure out sniper is the most useful class

Sniper is pretty badass but I honestly like antiair as a close second, at least while you still have missiles. If you catch multiple enemies in the open at long range you can 1 missile one kill them. Combine that with the fifty cal main weapon and it's almost like assault but with a longer range special weapon

I especially liked the kill where SafetyInstructor put a 30mm shell through OSHA_Violator. "see, this is why you always need to wear a hardhat with reflector stripes while in an active combat zone"

They need a squad-platoon sized coop version with progressive waves of ground/air based arachnids. As the waves progress you face ranged/tanker bugs. Final mission is where all the players who died in previous rounds respawn as zombie mobile infantry and fight their previous team mates (presumably controlled by a “brain bug”). Once the brain bug is found and exterminated the survivors have to get to the dropship/lifeboat in time before it takes off. Players can spend real money to call in orbital strikes, fighter strafes, resupply care packages, etc.

This event was funny but I was more amazed by the Snail map design. We got to see some cool stuff we usually can't and was great. Plus, they just showed us they would be able to make a mecha game and make it good too.

It really highlights how in real life, infantry and tanks need each other. Tanks can easily get swarmed by infantry if they don't have infantry of their own, and infantry need tanks to be big guns and heavy armor. And, April Fools events are usually testing something, so this makes me hopeful that we will one day get infantry in WT. This is one of the best April Fools events I have been a part of. Space Thunder was awful, Tailspin was fun, but it was just Air Battles with cartoon planes, the Dune one was very fun, and this one is too.

since every april fools was a test for SOMETHING in the game, i either think of a mech like game, like mechwarrior 5. or they tested stuff for enlisted. perhaps something for infantry but i highly doubt that since they already have enlisted

I found a super cheesy spot on Alaska in the building north of B. It is to the right of where the train and the train tracks are, all you need is to shoot with a large explosive device. Then one of the holes has a staircase and wall, you can go just behind the wall, still be on the point, and if done correctly, nothing will be sticking out. I Recommend the Antitank for its under barrel grenade launcher to take out the other infantry and its ATGM for those tanks, or the Sniper for it's 30mm. The Sniper is good as antitank if used right, if you shoot the top of the turret with the 30mm HEDP it will kill them... sometimes, slight chance of failure, specifically when T-80s are the target. Oh and don't shoot allied drones, it will cause you to lose actual SL. This is so anyone reading this can get better at using these suits, while it lasts.

That swimming pool is likely not a pool, but a fountain, those "concrete pillars" are likely metal pipes considering they appear to be hollow, not sure why a fountain of that type would be on a roof though, that is definitely weird.

I was in an assault type infantry, and there was an Abrahams tank in a corner, being shot which then killed 2 of my teammates, I fired both my missiles which did 2 critical, and I was jumping up and down on top of it shooting straight down and doing damage until a bradly killed me

The event is fun, fun to play and don't mind grinding TTs or squadron activity but then... 40k mission score for a bunch of cosmetic rewards, profile icon and a title WITHOUT any multiplier. I would not mind to grind them by playing if the requirement was 20k or even with a multiplier if the score was made more with infantry units, but 40k are really too much. I'm lucky to have a little work load this week but if the crafting event also came live (and the Infantry will not count towards it), i'm probably gonna to skip it😅
