Hi , just a question. Are you using a low frequency inverter? They are designed to start heavy motors. They can with stand large in rush current for starting large inrush current. I have a 2 horsepower splinker pump i have ran for 8 hours off a low frequency inverter. The system i was using at the time was 12 vdc strpped up to 230 vac split phase inverter. Invertor weighted 40 pounds some has larger internal transformers. At 12 vdc i was drawing aprox 570 amps off battery and 27 amps from invertor. Once running dc amps dropped to aprox 160 amp ac amps 7 to 8 amps if i remember. With my solar panels it can be done startup is the issue. But i dont recommend a 12 volt dc system i now use 48 vdc now. I only did to see if it was possible for a off grid sysyem since i am not off grid. But very possible. For me i would run a heavy pump to fill a water storage tank. Than use a 12 volt RV pump for water in a off grid application. Thank for sharing Mike

Yes, this is a low frequency transformer based 48v system and is capable of 8,000 watts of inrush but can’t handle the pump still.
