Why do you guys always fracture first turn with thrawn? GK had almost full TM. You can use thrawn seconds ability, give GL full TM, use the swarm on their GK, and thrawn goes 2 seconds later and let's you finish them off. I honestly don't get it. I see it with you and ahnald and I want to scream 'THERE'S A BETTER WAY!' you can literally take out GK in 1 1/2 turns and the battle is over

So what are you thoughts of putting zetas on palpatine IF you don't have Jedi Rey, CLS, or Gen Kenobi? I think since many players don't have those 3 top arena leaders, then perhaps it's worth putting zetas on palpatine. Just a thought. I feel you guys base your opinions for only the top 50-100 players.

I feel like something isn't right with the Palpatine zeta and both toons reworks. Vader is definitely faster but it's VERY inconsistent. Also, I have Jedi resisting Vader's basic. A lot. Palpatine has 82% potency, then as lead he should be able to inflict shock pretty often (obviously not every time that's not how the game works), but he doesn't. Sometimes, it doesn't even show resist, evade, deflect, or whatever. It's like there's some sort of foresight that isn't there. I also boosted his offense via gear and mods from 2100 to 2700, and his special damage by like 1000+, yet he is still dealing the same amount of damage. Even with resistance penetration gear 12 gear. He also has his stun effects resisted a lot as well. Something just doesn't seem right about the rework; on paper it looks way better than it's actually acting out - I feel like some of the game mechanics aren't working right with certain toons. Could just be me though.

The biggest hurdle for trying to change your team to something that is not used by many players is, that you'll get targeted way more. Like if someone climbs and sees, JTR, JTR, JTR, NS, JTR, CLS, oh an EP team! That's new, let's fight that! And just putting it out here: if The Sith Triumvirate had not much to do with Revan, but rather with The Exile, or Meetra Surik, as they later named her. I'm thing CG will use Revan instead, because he's the more commonly known from KotOR, but if they stick to the lore, they'll introduce the Triumvirate with the Exile, and put Revan later in the game.

I wasn't able to get JTR the first time, so I've been stuck using my rebel scum since CLS came out. When the reworks dropped, I immediately switched my team to zzThrawn (L), Shore, Storm, zzVader, and zPalpatine. It may not be the best team in the game, but I am holding rank better than before, and more importantly am actually enjoying arena again.

My theory on the Sith raid is that they'll surprise us with a character like Meetra Surik as the reward, who then may be necessary to unlock Revan later. The rest of the triumvirate will be released as marquee similar to Nihilus. The reason I don't think Revan is the reward is that the raids have sort of been set up to give light side characters for rewards. If Revan comes, I doubt he's light side. I think the reward will have be a parallel to General Kenobi defeating General Grevious. Some day maybe we get a raid telling the story from the other side where we defeat one of the good guys and are rewarded with a Dark side character.

The duo work pretty well in my shard because it's still very CLS/Rebel heavy. But they did miss an opportunity to really fix Palpatine. He's still pretty squishy even with his unique zeta, and it sucks that he requires a zeta just to make him roughly equal to what other characters get natively. If he's going to be squishy then he needs to do huge damage. Maybe once upon a time his 10-12k basic hit was considered strong but it's run of the mill these days.

Good video, jtr teams are a bit broken understandably so they are the meta and are meant to be strong. But you didn't play the cls team optimally against the Vader team. A lot of sloppy choices, I could beat the sith team no problem. But this video overall still does a good job of showing the zeta's aren't quite enough. They need more synergy.

I think because CLS and R2D2 has 2 unique abilities . Maybe thats why Vader and Palpatine feels a bit off. I'm currently using Thrawn leadership + palpatine unique zeta+ Death Trooper+ Shore Trooper and Royal Guard. So far I'm surviving in the top 50.

Thrawn, GK & Nilhus +2 will always work, Vader & Palp's reworks should work outside of having those 3 titans alongside them, you could chuck CUP & Mob Enforcer with Thrawn, GK & Nilhus and you would have a fighting chance.

I think the new zetas are pretty good as show cased here. I don't know why Ahnald is upset unless you want Vader and Palp to be so OP no one beats them. NS and CLS Titan can beat JTR teams. EP and Vader teams crush those but aren't as strong against JTR. Again this is what a more balanced meta looks like. Also anyone tried probe droid with the new reworks?

The following is the team I’ve been using in my arena, I’ve found it to win against rogue one teams no matter the odds; Vader Zeta Lead, palpatine no zetas, thrawn no zetas, royal guard, and a fast shoretrooper to constantly taunt with palpatine and royal guard feed him his buffs

That's pretty good - not a bad team. That'll potentially get you up to around 100 or so, with higher gear levels. I was running Zader (L), Pappa palp (no zetas), thrawn (no zetas), Kylo Unmasked (no zeta on unique), and Nihilus (zeta unique). All gear 12, and all have speed over 200 - Thrawn is at 260 speed, Zader at 218, Nihilus at 218, Palpie at 206, and Kylo UM at 216. My squad was holding well on D for a while, but once my shard adjusted I dropped back from 41 to around 80. JTR is just too tough. I used to be in the top 20 regularly.

The reward for the new sith raid would most likely be an old republic character. Think about it, the rancor gives you han (makes sense with the movies) the aat (greivous) gives you general kenobi (makes sense with the movies). So who defeated the sith in the starwars movies/story? That'll be our reward

When you guys review these teams you base your opinion under the assumption that everyone has JTR teams and is 3m GP. That's not the case at all. This is clearly a new meta team that can dominate the leaderboards for people who haven't been playing the game from the day it launched.

Sith Marauder, Darth Nihilus and General Kenobi ... even if they work. They aren't Imperial. Emperor Palpatine is in charge of the First Galactic Empire. He should be a no-brainer for an Imperial team and not a character you have to work around his weaknesses to make him somehow work.

I don't get having General Kenobi with Nightsisters. He adds nothing to that setup. His taunt takes away from Zombie's taunt, which is the whole point of the Zombie being there. Try weak Zombie, Talzin zeta lead, zeta Ventress unique, zeta Daka unique and zeta Barriss unique. Barriss zeta adds to Nightsisters by toughening them up and being a healer. Fast weak Zombie keeps taunting and dying, which powers up Ventress. G12 Zombie on steroids and General Kenobi does not represent the more successful/widely encountered Nightsister setup right now.

I think a Nihilus lead would work better for keeping them alive, but he doesn't provide the TM gain from Palp lead, or the TM reduction from Zader. You'd need Sassy, Shore, or Thrawn involved - or another TM boosting toon. Even then, not enough cleansing and JTR squads usually have some form of healing block, mitigating health steal.
