@@waseemafzal7297 I didn't bother to fix it, but what i learnt is you have to source new screen from Google recommended service providers (like ifixit). So although mine was sold as original, either that is not true or there is some sort of additional layer of validation on Google's side. I think you can order a replacement kit from ifixit and replace the screen yourself, so that's what I would recommend. People with ifixit screens don't have these issues it seems.

Same for me on P6P. Tried multiple different cables, different computers and followed these steps exactly countless times. Calibration software installs no problem, I perform the manual restart but still get the error message. My device has been with a repairer who fixes Pixel phones. They've tried multiple screens and fingerprint readers and they have not been able to get the fingerprint reader to function again either; despite the phone working well in every other way. They say possible software issue or logic board issue and have thrown their hands up.

This almost got me there but...every time i try to add a new fingerprint my settings UI crashes and doesn't let me add it. I had the screen replaced at a shop and they had to get a new fingerprint sensor online. I calibrated and everything but seem stuck by something crashing my system... any idea what it could be and what would be the next steps?

I bought this amazing phone an owned it 4 hrs an busted the screen because my store didn't have a case an i had order one. Then the local repair shops couldn't get the new screen for a couple weeks. I finally got it yesterday an they can't calibrate the fingerprint sensor. They had your video going But when they tried it kept saying something about my phone having a newer system an they they thought it wanted them to erase it an load an older system. They were worried about losing all my info so with them being so nervous I just told them i could use it without a finger print scanner. Sucks i paid almost 300 for the repair an ita it is not right.. Any recommendations

I've had this problem for over a year with my P6P and I come across the same error when I go to download the calibration tool "Couldn't find the unique calibration software for this device". When I do connect the device it comes up as "Pixel 6 Pro - Paired" rather than "Pixel 6 Pro" as it does in the video, not sure if that's making a difference? Any suggestions would be awesome!

@@harshadci3895 Hey, I ended up getting it fixed, the issue was with the screen. The repair shop in my town was apparently known for putting on counterfeit screens that weren't actually original as advertised. So I had to confront them and they eventually replaced the screen. If you got it done at a shop I'd go back and talk to them, depending on when you see this. Don't tell them you used the Google Diagnostic calibration used in this video or they will say it's your fault and that you broke something (even though you did nothing wrong). If you bought it online, I'd first make sure everything is connected correctly, then if it doesn't work, contact the seller saying that your screen has something wrong with it, and will hopefully replace it, if they are reputable. If not, that'd really suck and you could try doing a card charge back if you bought it with a credit card. Good luck, hope I could have been of any help, feel free to reply if you have anymore questions!

thanks, didn't work for me but I may have damaged my fingerprint sensor as it just crashes out to settings after entering my PIN when I try to go to the fingerprint screen. Worth noting that you need to use a good quality USB cable. I tried 2 aftermarket cheapies with no luck, then used one which came with a phone and that worked.

If you do it on a Mac on Chrome you will have more success. Otherwise try going through the process again.

I*****Please see*****f you are having issue doing it make you scroll all the way to bottom and under Other available update options : Click on install fingerprint caliberation software. Other wise it will take your for regular software update and fail. And you will be in loop .
