Mobilising greater investment for climate adaptation and resilience

The imperative for greater investment in adaptation and resilience is clear: it saves lives, livelihoods and offers high socio-economic benefits. Yet, adaptation investment is not happening at the speed and scale required.
Organised by the EIB and European Commission’s Directorate-General for Climate Action, this event examines scalable solutions for unlocking greater investment in climate adaptation and resilience. It showcases practical examples from the enabling climate risk assessment and investment planning to the financial instruments and projects urgently needed across the globe. By bringing together leaders from public and private sectors, the event puts emphasis on the mobilization of private investment as a complement to public finance.
