Mobility Tips and Tricks | How to Gap Close in PVP

People often ask me how i gap close and chase with my IG rapier build so i thought i'd make a video revolving around little techniques you can use in PVP to help. On their own they're not hugely impactful but when using them all together in the right scenarios you can get to melee distance while barely taking a hit if everything is timed well

Great info! Sad that they nerfed the slide crouch. Before Season 3, it was possible to stand up again before the slowdown at the end of the slide, so we could basically maintain a permanent slide crouch without any slowdown. Now, we can't avoid the slowdown at the end of the crouch slide, but we can still jump to avoid getting stuck on it for too long. Anyway, it's still better than a forward crouch, for sure. For those who struggle when fighting against ranged players, I'll add that it's highly recommended to try using those ranged weapons yourself, even if you don't plan to use them regularly. You learn more about how to fight against certain weapons by actually playing with them. At some point, you can dodge arrows and bullets without even looking at them. This approach applies to fighting against any weapon in the game, making versatile players very powerful and successful, because they understand the strengths and weaknesses of each weapon from their own experience, not just on paper, and Caniix is a proof of that :D

Why is it sad that they fixed a stupid exploit? You’re just sad you can’t exploit it as much.

@@bombkita I mean, this was something that only a tiny 0.01% of the players actually used in combat, and it was applicable in very limited and specific situations for a negligible difference. We're not talking about berserk canceling here, not at all. It was a layer of movement tech primarily for those who enjoyed the learning process, rather than for the possible advantage it could offer :)

good one! one more tip. if your penguin dive runs you out of stamina, hit your inventory button as soon as you hit the ground, you come right back up and running.

If you hold backwards (S) while doing the prone dives you can slide and double/triple your distance

Great video. Could you do a similar video for spear and sns? Tricks such as if you light attack before leaping you go further. I generally curious about the spear. If you can‘t make a video maybe you can write here some tricks like animation cancel for spear

Quick question bro, how many stacks of bleed do you normally do before consuming? 3x or 2x?

depends the enemy but normally 2 is enough

nice video! Which perk do you use on your Rapier? I am hesitating between: Thwarting strikes: +3-7% damage while you have active grit -> flourish and finish are under grit when evolved so it looks like a great damage bonus Keenly Empowered: 10% empower for 5s on critical hit (10s cooldown) -> looks good but since we usually Tondo and kite until we have more stacks or directly flourish and finish there is very few chances to actually benefit from this empower Refreshing move: light and heavy attacks reduce your active cooldown by 1-2.5% -> maybe good to have faster evade refresh (if omnidirectional evade on another piece it could be effective) Any Elemental Attunement if played with elemental damage for exemple What are your thoughts?

only keenly empowered will strengthen the bleed which is our main burst so i went with that, i have older videos which explain everything Omni evade is bugged right now but ideally i would put on armour opal is better than elemental gem again to boost bleed damage more
