I’m 13 years old and not flexible at all- I can’t even do a cartwheel, you just inspired me to train every day! I also do quadrobics (you can google what it means if you don’t know what it means) and it kinda helps me with practicing handstands because at a jump you have to do like half a handstand and at landing the same, maybe even kicking your legs out if you want to. What I did realize is that I got a tiny bit of arm muscles but you can’t see it except sometimes! But I’m still proud, thank you so much!

Mobility also includes motor skills, experience and timing. Meanwhile flexibility is just the 'stretchiness' of your muscles. Mobility us physical, but also mental as a skill. If you can do MMA you have a certain mobility skill, same with dancing, climbing etc. It is learned as much as it is practiced and exercised.

The mere fact that a joint can move means that it has mobility, no matter how limited that joint is by lack of flexibility in associated muscles. Improved flexibility of muscles (associated with a joint) can improve the range of mobility of that joint.
@infra_r3d1332 ай бұрын
@@Redbird4912 mobility is the combination of flexibility and strength. Joints have range of motion. The shoulder girdle has 180 degrees of motion in a typical healthy person. Mobility is the combination of the muscles ability to perform its action on a specific joint, by having enough strength, and also the muscles on the opponent side of the joint having enough length or flexibility to allow for the joint move. If I want to perform and over head press, I need to perform shoulder ‘flexion’ and the extensors on the opposite joint have to relax and have enough length to allow for (full) shoulder flexion to happen.
@infra_r3d1332 ай бұрын
@@Redbird4912 *’Joint mobility’ is a related term to the more widely used generic term “mobility” in that typically refers to someone’s overall ability to move all joints through their available range of motion.

Equate "mobility" to dynamic stretching and "flexibility" to static stretching. Mobility - range of movement of a joint. Flexibility - the limit of a stretched muscle. Lack of flexibility can affect range of mobility.
@rosemarietolentino32187 ай бұрын
Flexibility is something most of us can go our whole life and not really ever use it. How often do we do something where we even have to raise our hands above our heads. The reason eight out of ten people are overweight. People don’t move like they used to.

Hence, most of the range of flexibility is obsolete in a fundamental way. In fact, in time, it should atrophy in humans. Modern lives do not require these abilities.
