MOBOT Royale Dragon vs Brompton foldable bicycle review

All accessories such as the kid’s helmet, child seat, and front bags, were bought at www.mobot.sg. The dragon shirt is not for sale. I request it after I purchased the 2nd unit when I saw it on their Facebook live but that depends on stock availability.
As a Real Estate Agent who normally travels by car, I push myself to cycle more often when I have the time to exercise. This would help me to keep fit and healthy during this pandemic. Most of my cycling friends use the Brompton & the Mobot Royale, hence I decided to research and try out these tri-fold bicycles myself.
Never in my mind have I stumbled across a limited edition Royale Dragon bike before. I heard of limited edition watches or shoes but not bicycles. I love the dragon design as this is a Chinese auspicious creature that even appears on the ancient emperor robe. So I tried to get myself a unit around the end of August 2021.
Just 1 week after I purchased the dragon bike, I strike 4D on 5th September 2021 starter prize and again on 18th September 2021 starter prize! I keep buying the lottery for the past 5 years and believe it or not, this year in a month, I STRIKE TWICE! Therefore, I used the winnings that I got to purchase another Royale Dragon Bike for my wife even both of us already got the CAMP CHAMELEON & CAMP GOLD!
Lastly I would say, I love both the Brompton & Mobot Dragon bicycle. But I am glad that I picked the Mobot Royale Dragon that not only brings good luck but good vibes around my family.

So it sounds like part of the benefit is because Mobot is local to you. For those of us living in the West it sounds like Bromptons are a better choice since you don't need to spend exhorbitant shipping fees. Interesting POV, thanks for sharing!

A very gd review. Brompton fans always say stolen design. We hav to think back. The patenr & copyright hav expired and maxed at 30yrs! Brompton nev hav products near to average comsumers. I know leica hav tried. Apple had products close for average comsumers, lik iphone se. If high price mus be king, we mus let every country sell at same expensive price. I hav read and look dif videos about brompton. Mostly tel me, u cannot jus parked at the bicucle stand. Ha ha! So much trouble to own a brompton. Not an everyday bicycle.

Great comparison. I already purchased 2 minor royals bike from Mobot Woodlands. Great service by lisa n the Woodlands team. I had my bike servicing in less than 30min. They have 2 technician so quite fast.

How come you can demonstrate how to ride a bike when you firstly didn't raise your seat to the right height and secindly you press the oedal with the middle of your foot instead of the ball of your foot. Sorry, your way if riding failed luo! Too low a seat height will incur knee pain especially when you exert pressure to tackle a hill. Got it right please!

My friend who own a brompton regret it bec she was told that they doesnt have the spare parts currently n need to order. Therefore she need to went around searching for workshop that repair brompton. She recently just bought another 9 speed royale bike. Mine royale dragon and her brompton are only 6speed. Someday i ask her to do a comparison video between the 2 bikes.

Seatpost with build-in light - is already in the market for more 10 years liao. I bought one in 2011. Next, pedal => many brands of detachable pedals available in the market. You can buy one set and replace it, likewise, for the build-in light seatpost. Anyway, good review..

May I ask if you recommend 3speed or 6speed? Is 3speed slow?

Hi bryan, thats depends on your daily requirement. If more often your ride is mostly on flat terrain or ride around neighbourhood, the 3speed is sufficient. If you plan to ride around sg, there bound to be mixture of slope, hence a 6speed will helps you counter it easier than the 3 speed. In term of speed wise, both in fact are quite close. The difference will be countering steep slope. I tried both models before.
