I'm with you on ALWAYS being able to use my knives as self defense weapons. I own the titanium version of this knife. And with bloody hands, most knives are dangerous to even the person yielding the knife. With this one, I find that this knife is best held upside down. The pinky flick opens it nicely and the lock is closer to the bottom of my hand. Like the Jason Voorhees grip.

Hey, this is just an idea, but maybe you should try making like a mock dummy made up of clothes or a pillow with denim thing that you could actually push into or stab to test how good the grip is

I mean, that would make it more definitive,... but a 10,000' view is probably good. Most likely, I'm only going to be wrong in my assessment once. This particular knife had another problem.

I had a Viper knife made in Italy with the same issue. It makes the knife unusable and I like my fingers attached to my hand.

No, the knife, including the lock function really well, when I grip the knife, my grip is unlocking... someone else, could / might not have the issue.

i got one a while ago after first seeing it here because i liked the design so much. i dont have any issues with disengaging the lockbar with a tight full grip. i think it just depends on your hand and the way it sits on the knife@@DiscerningMan
