Hi ma’am. A million thanks to you for sharing this super wonderful recipe. I’ve always wanted to try to make a mocha cake especially the swiss meringue buttercream frosting but I haven’t tried not until now that I found your video. I’ve always thought that swiss meringue buttercream is a lot of work to do. But with your super clear tutorial, I finally did it. Thank you, thank you so much. I.already tried this nung 1st time ko magbake ng cake super saraaap kalasa talaga ni goldi then lastyear nagchange ako ng pinaggayahan grabe hinanap hanap ko pa din tlaga ang lasa ng gawa mo. Kaya sa bday ko this feb 3 gagawin ko ulit to :)

Hi hello jhoani, as i mentioned to you that i baked this cake last night but i didnt followed the frosting coz i want to add a colorful roses on the top of this but an fortunately it didnt turn out right cause of the icing recipe is not suitable for ur mocha cake recipe . That's one of the reason i baked again today and followed exactly ur recipe i should say it was so.....so delicious and proud say who ever view this mocha cake pls. Follow the recipe till the end coz it so amazing. Thank so much.....:)

The mocha cake that I baked 2 days ago na I decorated it with roses on the top , bale na inspired po Kasi ako sa cake ninyo with pink roses on the top kaya Hindi ko sinunod Yung mocha frosting ninyo. Anyway I'm really happy na nagbaked ako uli. Thank for sharing your mocha cake recipe..love it

I like the way you do the frosting, i don't like butter kasi, pero with the combination of marshallow icing and ka unting butter its an excellent idea katulad sa mga taong hindi gusto ang butter. Katolad ko..thank you

Hi :) hope you noticed me hehe, planning to do this on father's day. But I think I will havea problem on my hand mixer, can I just put shortening on the smbc? If yes how may tsp or cup? Thanks :)

ms.krysthel, i just saw ur comment now. i am a month late. 🙄 im sorry. haven't tried using shortening with smbc but as far as i know, you can replace some shortening with the butter. amount will depend on you. or half butter and shortening will be stable enough. though im not a fan of buttercream with shortening po.

the same i have i use kitchen aid mix master i follow the prosedure , when im don the egg white as to be icing its been cream but when i pot the butter the texure of iceng beenn defferent . it was been ok when i pot the butter it was mess up its look like champorado .. !! i follow the measurment everything but not work at all ! verry discourage better i dont pot the butter and pot straight on the fredge was ok ..

tried the recipe for a roll instead of the cake, my husband liked it. i’ll try to make it as a cake next time pag may pan na akong nabili. thanks for sharing. it is best paired with coffee... sana meron din black forest na recipe. ang hirap kase makahanap ng ingredients for ube esp the flavoring dito sa spain. more power po! 👌🏻

Looks so delicious and i love mocha cake. Can i use ordinary flour? Since it's still lockdown and i only have ordinary flour at home.i want to make one for my birthday on may 6th.

ordinary flour is all purpose flour? if yes po, mas fluffy po if cake flour gagamitin. pero if no choice, for every 1 cup ng cake flour, reduce 2 tbsp po ng all purpose flour na lang po then add 2 tbsp cornstarch. if no cornstarch pede na din po na wala. 1 c cake flour = 1 c all purpose flour - 2 tbsp + 2 tbsp cornstarch

@@anneespeleta8662 yes po. mas madaming gluten kasi pag all purpose flour compare to cake flour. basta mas soft si cake flour kaya need bawasan si all purpose flour.

I just tried this today. Goldilocks indeed 😊. Nahirapan lang ako sa smbc kasi 1st time ko yun. Muntik na ko mag give up. Pero sabi ng partner ko sayang ingredients kaya antayin ko daw mag stiff peaks baka kaya pa. Hahaha infairness nagawa ko naman siya. 😂😂😂 thank you sa recipe.

@@jenna.l.0522 kaya po. 😊 depende din sa kakayahan ni hand mixer mo po. pero para maka rest un mixer mo. pag stiff peak na ung meringue, kahit medyo warm pa. basta stiff peak na. pasok mo muna sa ref kasama ung beater. pag malamig na talaga un meringue and bowl. saka mo i add ung butter na not too soft pero not too tigas din. 😊

It says on your recipe that the butter be cold, shouldn't it be at room temperature? Just made one and it made my swiss meringue a bit thick. Still great recipe though, my family loved it😍

di naman too soft ung butter? try mo ilagay sa ref muna ung meringue pag stiff peak na. khit medyo warm pa basta stiff peak na. kasama un beater. pag malamig na un bowl and meringue saka ka add ng butter na not too soft and tigas din.😊 from ikea sg un turntable pero meron din sa shopee.😊

Good day maam im still watching your vids. Im want to ask if it never made it down the mixture of swish merangue if i put the butter . When i try to put a condense milk its melt and turn to liquid again the egg whites and the sugar

hi po. there's no condensed milk sa swiss meringue buttercream po. you're using the same recipe po? meringue will deflate when you added the butter. it's normal. just continue adding the butter and beat until it becomes smooth.😊

I've done a different recipe where you pour molten sugar syrup down the side of the bowl while whisking the egg whites. Sooooo much harder and very likely to make a mess and throw strands of sugar across the room. THIS technique above over a double boiler is simply brilliant!!

use all purpose flour na lang po with cornstarch if no cake flour po. ok lang po kahit na anong oil. wag lang un matapang po un lasa.😊 2 1/4 c cake flour = (2 c - 1/2 tbsp apf) + (1/4 c + 1/2 tbsp cornstarch)

Jenny Feir To substitute cake flour for all-purpose flour use 1 cup plus 2 tablespoons cake flour for every cup of all-purpose flour. Make your own - one cup sifted cake flour (100 grams) can be substituted with 3/4 cup (85 grams) sifted bleached all-purpose flour plus 2 tablespoons (15 grams) cornstarch. got this from google. 😊

need po. bukod sa para mag melt ung sugar, need nya uminit din para mamatay un bacteria sa egg whites po. para mas safe to eat.😊

Sis may iba pa bang pedeng gamitin to smoothen the buttercream wala kasi akong paddle attachment hand mixer lang gamit ko, thank you for answering☺️

optional naman po na mag shift sa paddle attachment.😊 or mix with rubber scrapper sa end na lang.😊 if hand mixer gamit mo po. pede mo sya i rest. pag stiff peak na meringue khit medyo warm pa. pede ipasok sa ref kasama un beater. then saka i add un bitter pag malamig na un meringue and bowl. not too soft and not too hard din un butter po.😊

Hi Jho! Good pm! Na try mo na tong recipe mo na mocha na gawing dense or moist? Feeling ko masarap to as densed or moist.. Kung dense ko kaya to should i just cream the oil, sugar and eggs? 😅

hi sir james. di ko pa po sya na try eh. pero i think may iba pang adjustment na kailangan po. usually kasi sa mas dense na cake is all purpose flour ang gamit din. di ko naisipan na palitan procedure para gawing dense po pero parang ang nice ng idea.😁 on my quest din actually sa dense mocha cake po.😅❤️

hi. di ko sure sa time kasi it will depend sa mga oven natin. un temp is ganon din. if sa oven ko, 275F to 300F ung pinaka safe na temp po.

boiled icing is same ng italian meringue frosting po. un method na ganito (without butter) is swiss meringue naman. yes po, halos same naman sila ni boiled icing if sa taste and itsura pag babasehan po.😊 pero mas luto po ang sa boiled icing since super mainit ung syrup. unlike sa swiss na sa double boiler po.

ok lang po kahit anong oil basta wag un may matapang na lasa po. you can use canola, vegetable or corn po. un hand mixer, will depend po sa kakayahan ni hand mixer mo po kasi. meron na po akong nagawang chocolate smbc using hand mixer. so possible naman po. or try na i half recipe mo na lang muna para di syado ma pwersa sa hand mixer po. tpos gawa ulit. pero if ok naman si mixer mo, go lang po. tyagaan lang. medyo matagal sya kasi gawin po. 😊

melted chocolate lang ung sa design and not ganache po. hindi sya mag s set like this one if ganache ung gagamitin po.😊

kahit ano pede. 😊 pede microwave. pede double boiler. pero off na un fire pag pinatong un bowl with chocolate. bali hot water na lang sya. make sure na di didikit un bottom ng bowl sa water. use compound chocolate.

What's the purpose of putting the egg white over simmering water? Is that just to dissolve the sugar in the meringue? I use caster sugar which is finer sugar & dissolves even without heat. Can I skip the heating part if I use caster sugar?

as far as i know, heating will make the meringue more stable and will also kill the bacteria from the egg whites. 😊

Sis if 6 inch lng yung pan na ga2mitin ko ilang pans kya maga2wa sa recipe nato? Galing mo sis nbasa kolng sa mga msgs below n pwede pala yung bakers best for sbmc. Kala ko strictly unsalted butter lng. For brownies pwede rin bang palitan ng margarine yung butter? Ty sis!

use 4 pans po. pero pede din naman na konti lang. pero ako kasi mas want ko madami pans para di syado tagal lutuin and no need na hatiin. yes po. maka bakers best po ako. unless un gagamitian ko is more on sa butter kukuha ng flavor po.

taste better po ang real butter. imas prefer ko ang magnolia unsalted pag gagastusan ko po tlaga. iba iba lasa nila kaya gamit po kayo ng ok sa panlasa nyo. like me, masarap si anchor pero nattalo nya ung ibang flavor kasi for me. sobrang sarap ba. un magnolia, for me naman is milky na creamy sya. si bakers best honestly may parang taste na di ma explain eh. di ko din sya gusto kainin na if palaman lang sa bread. indi masarap kainin if sya lang. pero sa cakes and baked goodies and buttercream sya madalas kong gamit. unless un i b bake is more on sa butter kukuha ng flavor din. iniinforn ko naman pag ganon po.

safe na i open un door ng oven after 20 minutes. pero try na press slightly lang un top. if soft pa, wag mo lang galawin muna para ma prevent na lumubog un center. if medyo firm na saka i toothpick test. sorry if wala naka indicate na time since iba iba din per oven kasi.😊 salamat po.

Pwede po bang paghintayin yung batter ng kung ilang minutes po ibebake yung cake kasi po gagawin ko ng x3 itong recipe po tas half muna po ibebake ko, hindi po kaya madeflate yung batter ng cake pag pinaghintay ko?
