Mocha Pro: 3D Camera Solver

Doesn't work in blender 2.8...exporting camera tracking to fbx for blender but while importing into blender it has error and doesn't open the file...

This is an advertisement not a tutorial. I would expect at least a link to a real tutorial on the camera tracker feature. Even on the Boris training site there is no camera tracker training just this video. Am I missing something?

What is the difference between the standard fbx and the nuke fbx?

It makes sure that the scene orientation is correct for the Nuke workflow. Standard FBX gives you the correct orientation for popular 3D packages.

Loving is so far! Takes a while to learn but im am jammed on trying to find a tutorial on how to Attatch a ELEMENT 3D object to the Mocha tracker i cannot seem to get it for the life of me or find a tutorial any hints? just trying to attatch a gun to a hand tracker

The secret to getting object tracking is to solve for your camera first. Then add another object and track that and solve that object. When you export you'll get a camera and static nulls for the background plus a moving null for the object. I remember there were some video tutorials for this in older paid training, but I cannot find a free one that shows this. @@BorisFXco i know but i can't change the particle size as mocha sets 100000 keyframes for everything so the thing i want to track is un changable

@@BorisFXco ya i get that but when you try to link an object from element 3d the trackers from mocha get all messed up as when using corner pin it stretched the model way to small and when scaling it in both transform or particle size it clips outside of some random border on your tracker rendering the rest of the object invisible and tracking hand rotation or gun rotation is like way to damn hard in mocha the standard motion trackers work better

It's not a corner pin. When you import the 3D camera data it will be a 3D null object that you link the 3D object to. The null animation will drive the 3D object, but you can adjust the 3D object as you need. That way you don't have to worry about Mocha's keyframes, as they're just there to drive the object. There also shouldn't be any problems about clipping because Element 3D is doing the rendering, not After Effects and a corner pin.

@@BorisFXco gotcha been playing around with it I think I'm getting it you have to make a null export to that null then create a solid add e3d create track null then bind null to null but I will say you guys need to figure out rotations of hands ect as the only tutorials or lessons on your software are How to track a picture to that wall or how to track a picture to that wall over there the power mesh is cool if your shot is constantly facing one angle say if I wanted to track a gun from e3d to my hand it's both nearly mocha impossible or it takes 5hrs to not figure it out lol
