thank you for the black mermaid, i know you said it wasn't intentional and that you drew several mermaids with different features, but when the live action of the little mermaid was announced and the trailer dropped, i remember crying for days every time i saw a young black woman, someone that looked like me, playing a character that i never imagined myself being. halle's strength in making sure she would do a beautiful work (and she did) was what made the live action so special to me. and about your month's theme, it's just beautiful, the way you draw and combine stuff makes it look so easy. great job!

I enjoyed the new live action little mermaid but felt they missed the mark by not having her sparkle water dress from the end - as a kid that was my favorite part and her dad could have totally made her a magical sparkle dress even if it wasn't period accurate! 🧜🧜‍♀️🧜‍♂️

I imagine cutting a drawing is like steeking a sweater (when you knit a cardigan sweater in stranded multicolor knitting you knit it in the round without the opening - there's like a "section" in the pattern that marks where you cut - and then when you're done you take a REALLY deep breath and cut between the marked areas in the pattern and then when you sew the sides back that becomes the opening. It's very 😵‍💫😵‍💫😵‍💫) love how the hinoki "into the waves" PET enhanced your mermaid theme 💖 (dang, it looks like that TOMBOW maxi power tape isn't available in the US) 🧜‍♀

Really loved watching your drawing and colouring process of the cover page mermaid. She turned out so beautiful, i love the colours a lot. 💙🧜‍♀ I also use the Tombow Maxi power tape, it's SO good! I literally cannot work on my journals without it (and have found an online shop in my country that supplies the refills at a pretty affordable price).

Having read the manga for Mermaid Melody Pichi Pichi Pitch and watched an episode or two of the anime, I can safely say that your assessment of it is dead on. It's not my favorite, but then, I was outside the target demographic when I started watching/reading. The manga is absolutely better, though! You should give it a read if you can get your hands on it!🧜🏻‍♀
