@shake63219 күн бұрын
He seems like a good prospect but i am very torn on taking a guard in the top 10. its just such bad surplus value. At 10 you gotta pay him 10M a year. at that point, you might as well pay Mekhi Becton 15M a year. yes, you lose 5M a year but you save a top 10 draft pick. Kevin Zeitler was making 6 million a year last year. I rather just pay Kevin Zeitler 10M a year and save the top 10 pick. then, can either a trade down or to take a home run swing on someone like James Pearce, who could become a Micah Parson type player. one thing that people rarely talk about is how bad our back ups were at OT. If we add Kevin Zeitler i think a starting unit of Braxton, Tev, Bates, Zeitler & Wright would be adequate. but our back up OT (borrum and amegadjie) might be some of the worst ive ever seen in my life. and given the fact that braxton and wright are never fully healthy our back ups will surely play. We have to get 2 new back up OT's. is as big of a priority as finding a competent starters at guard.

Monheim falling to the 5th is insane. Just, pull up the Michigan film where he faces 2 Blue 🔵 DTs and is the reason Usc had a chance. He was preseason 1st Rd 😂😂😂🤷 The Hype!!!! And Grant I think is Elite. I would have the Ohio State DT above him. Both are what Bears 🐻 really need tho. They control the line, stop the Run, and then bring pass rush upside. Those a 2 guys that are going to be force multiplyers making everyone on the D better.

A small trade down to #15 or give or take a pick or two, then I think we'd still have a very good shot of drafting Booker. He's been the guy I've been focused on. People mentioning that he would be a 2nd round pick i thought were crazy. He's most likely the top Guard on the board this draft.

Sheldon cant start this year or its a Fail.. I just dont understand how you and Adam keep saying that this guys should be an option in the new HC as a starter, when the new HC like a power game on the inside and does not like pressure up the middle at all. BJ's centers have been over 310lb power guys that are good in pass pro 1v1 battles.. This is not Sheldon. Im ok with the Guard choice only if it means that Braxton is the weakest link on that Oline by far. If there is a world where Braxton is not the weakest link on is tied for being the weakest link on that link after free agency, then they need to trade up and get the best LT in the draft and with the 2nd pick go Center and with the 3rd pick go Guard. Cant fix the main problem with this team by ignoring it (Again, for the 3rd year in a row).. We gotta stop feeding the insane nature of a lot of Bears fan.. To keep doing the same thing over and over again and expect a different result is insane.. And anyone that proposes Sheldon should be an option at Center again is preaching insanity to the drones out there.. He is Mustipher 2.0 and tape shows it and I dont care what poll or pff says, watching the games and the oline play his pay tell you that he needs a speed zone scheme that fits him and he has to be the worse player on that oline for things to work with him in there.. You can not help multiple players across that oline, all the time, and expect it to not impact your scheme. We gotta stop this overvaluing players that we know, in the heat of the season, are not the answer. You guys need to go watch all of Calebs sacks and hurries, then you guys wouldnt be saying this stuff about sheldon. He should have NEVER been the started and Bates should have been. even with Bates issues, there would have been less sacks and pressure up the middle..

I like booker a lot. In my mock drafts simulations I always trade back to the 15-16th spot an pick him there. There with the additional 2 rd pick I get RB like Hampton and with our two 2nd picks I pick edge and then one more OL or a DT. We can fill more holes with that. Because I still like braxton as our LT. I wouldn't waste our 10rd pick with banks and campbell. I think our biggest weakness in the OL was the interior. I hope we sign trey Smith and zeitler or dallman as our C and with booker and Wright and braxton as our LT we pretty set and way better than the years before. Braxton-Booker-Zeitler-Smith-Wright Backups: Kiran, Pryor, Murray, Shelton, Stromberg, some 5,6rd Tackle.

Gotta admit when I started watching this I thought you were talking about Banks from tx. Gotta clean the ears. Cause I almost threw the remote. In my opinion the offensive line is a unique unit you can stack it with all the talent you can. But if they don’t work as one it doesn’t matter. Take for instance Darnell Wrights second season. It appears to me that he showed very little progress. But I blame his having to play along side Nate Davis. Let’s hope the new line coach does better than C’Mo

i wont be shocked if they go Jeanty. Roshon Johnson got a nice start last year, but he already lost a step.... lost an explosive gear. They could pair Jeanty with Swift like he had with the Lions. Love you Swift but you CANNOT start looking at mocks yet, particularly when it comes to the Bears. They still haven’t finalized their coaching staff (most importantly the O-Line coach who’s opinion is probably going to be weighty to say the least) and while I’m sure Johnson has started diving into film of the season they can’t possibly know what’s the higher priority between G/T/RB in this draft. That said if it is Booker the Bears should be looking to trade down because they could probably get him later in the 1st and they need as many bites at the apple as they can get.

not interested in a guard at pick 10. i don't see it. that would be a stupid move when we have a need at LT. guard is an easier position to replace. i want kelvin banks at 10 if at all possible. to me he is the most pro ready LT available. idk if will campbell is available at 10 but i don't want him either. he plays too high and that's a weakness that will be exploited and noticed immediately. it will take a long time to fix that habit to me there is NO OPTION to keep braxton jones. he needs to be replaced because his contract ends soon. he is only good enough to be a solid backup for someone who's actually good. the LT position needs to be better than "good enough." this has been a problem on the bears for such a long time and it has always frustrated me. braxton would be a good person to trade imo

@ I’ve seen enough bad takes from him to know his word is as valuable as any other sports talking head. Anyone who knows ball, knows this is a defensive line draft and blue chip d-lineman will be available through out the top 15. Booker is not a blue chip player. He has the potential to be a blue chip… potential blue chip should be drafted 20 and beyond. I could see Booker as a trade down prospect. Top 10 picks should be an immediate impact player like Jared Verse. You can find day one starters at the Guard/Center position from the LATE 2nd rnd and beyond. This draft is packed with left tackles that would transfer easily to the guard and center position. They can be picked up all day in the third and fourth round. Why waste a blue chip opportunity ? Go to the last 10 years of center and guard drafts see how many of the current NFL starters were taken in the third and fourth round 🤔 Unless a guard is a generational talent (Booker is not) they should not be drafted in the top 10
