OMG! You are just amazing! I do not know how you come up with these ideas, like who would think to put nuts inside the tip of a shoe? But, I sure am glad you did because I have looked everywhere to find these shoes and nowhere around me have them. Thank you so much for sharing your incredible talent! It just so happened that my daughter has just this year decided she loves gnomes so I am trying to make as many as I can. I made these last night and they're awesome. I didn't have nuts. FYI: you can also use 2 DT glass decor marbles glued together in lieu of the bolts/foil if you happen to have those on hand.

Angela, I didn't have those either but when I'm looking for a screw driver or somethng in my husband's "junk drawer" I find them! I actully had little magnents that I put in them! It works for me because sometimes if I'm not real careful, I tend to make one leg longer than the other so he might be tipsy and i can use a prop with a magnent in it thats helpful for assisting him with standing!

Being down for so few days is good, so you didn't have to suffer for too long. 💜💜 I'm glad I happened onto this video at THIS particular time....lol....I've been working on a pair of shoes today, from scratch, since I haven't been able to find the DT shoes either. It's been a slow process because I've thought it out, it's just getting the process together to make them co e together and figure out what works best. They're looking decent, it's just been so much trial and error. Type of glue, the fillers, type of base and exterior, etc. But, I'm definitely going to go with your pattern! You made this look like a 30 minute job...lol What I like about your is that they can be done in different colors, embellished, etc for whatever type/holiday/season you're making them for. Thank you so much for sharing this!!

I don't know how you managed not to burn your fingers with the nuts. I glued washers and burned the snot out of myself. 😅 now i keep a skewer nearby if I have to move the washer with hot glue on it. I was seeing stars and stripes when I burned myself 😂. Someone once said hot glue is of the devil..the burn is real. So, I was wondering if you might consider doing a ballerina gnome some time. I can see one in my head. But I want her doing a plié or on her tip toes. I was thinking the baby sock shoe forms might work for ballerina slippers. Idk. Still in my brain. And a cute tutu. I know how to make those. I did one for a teddy bear for my granddaughter Amelia. Any tips or ideas would be helpful if ballerinas aren't your thing. Thank you for another awesome video. ❤️

Oh no Patti! I'm sorry you were so sick! I completely how you were feeling! I had covid twice. The second time I also had pneumonia and Valley Fever at the same time so it stuck!! I have watched videos for making shoes for gnomes in the past. I am so thankful I found you because this video blows them off the face of the earth. I know lately it's been hard to find the DT shoes.
