Watched this whole episode, definitely felt like TFG outclassed these guys in terms of ability to break down players on the fly, even knowing it’s a former GM. I’ve felt like this a couple times before, but never this strongly. Marcus has leveled up so much it’s crazy

The bit for the dolphins pick felt so weird like Marcus had to tell him what to do 😂
@williamsavary10402 ай бұрын
Honestly I don't think that's the case. It's more of a chemistry issue imo and Thomas not being very used to podcasting. I felt the same way last year. Still a great episode and fun watch. With time they'll get there if they do one of these every year. I also feel like Marcus as a host isn't sure how to proceed with such a big invite lol. But again, good episode. And I do agree that Marcus is improving a whole lot. Him on the Nfl stock exchange was the best I've seen him

Did Eric really use injury prone to describe Bosa and Mack then proceeded to draft an edge with medical issues lmaoo.
@DailyWorkoutMotive2 ай бұрын
He's been medically cleared... Bosa doesn't ever play an entire season and he's also gone after this year. Mack is just old af and not in his prime.
@TheMattTrakker2 ай бұрын
Injury prone is different. Latu's neck/spine isn't something that's going to constantly land him on IR, he's either there or he's forced to retire. It's more binary.

Jets are 100% not worried about the defensive future right now. They invested in Aaron Rodgers, this season is all about him. You either protect him more or you get him a weapon. And the same deal even more so with the Chargers. I will sell all of my earthly belongings if they take Latu over an offensive player. I have no idea what Eric was smoking with those 2 picks. They have NO weapons and a run heavy scheme coming in. This year would be an offensive disaster-class if they took an edge.

I really like that in this video you get three truly different perspectives on the draft/draft philosophy. Marcus obviously has dove deep into so many of these prospects and has his evaluations of them that he trusts, Thomas looks at it in a very much fit-to-value way (and his anecdotes are really cool to hear), and Eric looks at things very much statistically and analytically and what pick could bolster a specific "weak point" on a given team. Really liked this video in a different way than a lot of other mocks.

Thank you Marcus for picking Brock Bowers for the Rams instead of the typical edge/DI at 19. If he falls that far I think the Rams would pull the trigger on a blue chip TE to round out our offense instead of drafting for need.

I didn't understand the Latu pick the most. The Chargers already have Tuli to backup Bosa and Mack. The player is good, but doesn't fill a need at all. Fashanu to the Saints didn't make much sense either. They have Penning at left tackle and Ramczyk is an all pro right tackle.

You need to include an additional question for Thomas every year; ask the former Guelph Gryphon about draftable Canadian prospects. And I like the point he made about coaches ensuring management that a player is going to hit certain snap count metrics. Does that apply to other positions and draft capital? Seems like it should.

You seem to be doing these as "what-you-would-do" mocks. Interesting Seahawks note if you ever do predictive mocks: John Schneider has been quoted saying that interior offensive line is "overvalued and overdrafted" in the NFL. He also doesn't like to invest in IOL as a general rule. He prefers to grab later round players to fill the position.

Nah Kirk Cousins
@evanthompson41862 ай бұрын
Nah I'm a Falcons fan and we're a few pieces away from potentially being contenders. I know how people feel about Kirk but hes a good starting qb and with this roster you could make a push. Plus there's a guy later on in Michael Pratt that I think would be a low risk, high reward type of guy that fits a Cousin's type mold. Didn't necessarily agree with the Turner pick as Latu is my edge 1, but if you hit on an edge or 2, get a corner, maybe a receiver, this team will be very dangerous in an NFC that doesn't have near the qb play of the AFC.

Well off the top of my head USC players drafted should be: Caleb Williams, MarShawn Lloyd, Calen Bullock, Brenden Rice, Tahj Washington, and they have that one guard Kingston that might go day 3. So 5-6. Notre Dame has Joe Alt, Blake Fisher, Marist Liufau, Audric Estime, Cam Hart, and maybe Sam Hartman so also 5-6. I might be missing a player or two but I think Hartman is more likely to be drafted than that USC guard Kingston so I'll go Notre Dame to get more drafted players
