Under the Sea video
I dug up some old footage from the 80s and early 90s of us as kids, and edited together a video for the song “Under The Sea” From the recently re-released Jester album 👇🏼🤘🏼
We sure had some fun!
Got several of our oldest friends in this video as well🤘🏼please tag everyone you see🤘🏼

I started playing guitar when I was about seven years old and immediately started writing songs. A few years after that, I talked some friends into learning to play too so I could have a band. Which ended up being cousins Robert Hannah on drums and Grant Hannah on bass. Both immersing themselves in their instrument and becoming absolute beasts. We were mostly into hard rock. We wanted the heavy sound of two guitars, and eventually found Brandon Gillahan.
In the early 90s in Arkansas, there wasn’t a lot of studios, especially that we could afford. But in the mid 90s and just 19-20 years old, we finally went in the studio with a budget of $2000 and recorded an album.
Although it was a blast, we started getting aggravated at their inability to mix. And before they were able to finish those songs, I was able to get myself a 16 track, 1 inch tape Tascam recorder with a Rama Panasonic mixer. Within a couple days, and with only SM57 mics on everything, I recorded the last track myself in my house. And I’ve been engineering all of my own songs every since.
At the time, that album changed our lives. But as I got a few years older, I was very critical of the album. Especially the mix. But now that I’m older (and my daughters absolutely love it) I very much appreciate the playing and writing. And even my young, and not so honed voice. And even more so the memories!
It was recorded quick, cheap and there was no ProTools or any technology like today to fix and polish up mistakes.
So we just played our butts off.
A lot of people, including my daughters, have asked for me to upload this album along with all my other rock albums to all the streaming platforms. So here it is under my “Mocwen” title….The Jester🤘🏼
