This lady is very, very good at explanations. Also, her handwriting is totally legible, unlike many "professors" on the net. This is a very good series of lectures. Thank you Professor S. L. Bala.

This lecture is great. I've been watching lectures at MIT, Yale, NPTEL and one thing they all have in common is that the instructor writes the topics he or she is talking about on a blackboard which helps me to remember what I'm trying to learn. Also, if the instructor has drawn several diagrams it's more comfortable seeing the hand movements vs an animated instruction where there's no indication where the cursor will move among diagrams which sometime causes me to rewind the video. And great job by the person recording the video keeping enough text in view.

Really a great introduction of QM physics, the way of flow of information is amazing! As you got a good grip on various mathematical and theoretical explanation of different eras on QM by different pioneers and well explain the QM applications.... appreciated teacher!!!!

What can I add to what has already been said, I’ve probably watched 20 introduction lectures to QM, this is by far my favorite, the one that taught me more than any other. It’s interesting to realize what a difference the right lecturer can make, it’s like day and night, I suppose that’s true for most subjects.

so neatly delivered. I don't have a good physics background though i grasped everything she said.

Excellent lecturer by the very learned Professor. I am a software professional with a strong interest in Physics. Her style is so clear and simple that even I could understand much of the material presented
@aayusharya68993 жыл бұрын
I figured out by looking at her webpage that she very closely collaborates with Prof. V. Balakrishnan in her research. It isn't directly apparent whether her teaching skills which are at par with Balaki's were a product of this collaboration or existed independently. Excellent lecturer.

Does any1 else agree that many of these NPTEL lecture series r let down by poor camera work? I mean sometimes the cameraman will zoom in to a tiny section of the board for example and it means that u r unable to see what else the instructor has written! I find it very significantly impacts on the usefulness of these otherwise excellent lectures when the camera work is not up to scratch!

Nice introduction thank you mam.Classical mechanics holds good for particle nature.wave nature holds good for vector complex analysis so it is derived from old mathematics only wave mechanics not discovered by Issac Newton but uses certain rules also uses sine cos functions of differentian and integration.

Based on (E=ˠM˳C²)∞ the Lorentz contraction of space and time is between the energy and mass. The greater the energy the greater the contraction of space and the slower time will run. Mass will increase relative to this and each ref-frame can be seen as a vortex in space formed by the rate that time flows. C² is light radiating out in all directions forming a sphere that can be squared to form the future probability. The brackets represent the boundary condition of the ref-frame within infinity!

@abhinandan0087 жыл бұрын
Both of them pertain to master's course taught in the IIT's..so maybe those lectures won't help much..I will advise you to see Introduction to QM by Griffith and there is a book of undergraduate QM by MC Jain wherein the author has highlighted all the mathematical steps required to solve various basic level problem like the hydrogen atom solution.So,if you want to take my advise,study Griffith for conceptual knowledge and in depth analysis and intuition and MC jain for explicit mathematical steps..
@abhinandan0087 жыл бұрын
But I went through the syllabus of this course,it appears to me that except the LVS preliminaries,rest of the course material is of bachelors..so maybe you can go through this lectures..
