But sir, in rule 3, why should there be a necessity that Sp should be negative. As you said in rule 2, yes ap should be positive for the solution to be consistent; in the example, the temperature at P should be in between 100 and 10. But should that be the case when there is a source term? According to the nature of the source (or sink), the temperature at P may not be in between the east and west values, and isn't that incorporated in the source term itself? Would there be any problems if Sp is negative? I do not have experience in solving problems using FVM, so maybe experience is a factor.
