Group theory is discussed in his lectures on quantum physics

You are a life saver buddy. Btw, can you please tell in exactly in which lecture(s) he does that. Thanks in advance.

I thought he was going to speak about Group Theory :-(

You are about to record a lecture, and you don't check the cameras! So casual? In addition, for the Quantum course, you don't even record the full course, and important topics like NMR, wkb appx, are just left out! To NPTEL: Producing courses in bulk doesn't mean you'll have to play with quality.

This course was not recorded for NPTEL. It is a very old course which was recorded only for internal use. But these lectures attained legendary status at IIT so they decided to upload it anyway.

You are extremely entitled. Have some humility.

@@rajuaditya1914 Why should I have any humility? Have I defamed the Professor in any way? At the end of the video, Prof. Balakrishnan mentions some topics and says that he will take them up the next day, but those videos are not available. This implies that the course had few (or many?) more lectures, which were not recorded/uploaded. I have simply complained why the full course was not recorded. Students were deprived of the opportunity of attending some more classes of Prof. Balakrishnan, and I am sure everyone will have some regret for that.

@@rushikeshshinde2325 how did you know about that ?

I wish physicists knew the difference between continuity and differentiability. The fact is that the second implies the first but not conversely. At about 45 minutes he confuses the two ideas.

If you would have taken earlier lectures then you might have known that in these systems we have already assumed functions to be continous and differentiable upto orders required, unless specified.
