Mam u taught in middle of lecture the formulla for finding Lj* but in question we can't see that formula being used. U used L0 every where but u taught in formula to use L(j-1)...... Anyone who faced same issue?

What's the logic behind sometimes using the formula x1=a+L* and sometimes you are using abruptly x5= b-L5* without explanation??

i think u have eliminated wrong part in maximum problem i.e f(x1)>f(x2) so u should remove (x2,3],instead you removed [0,x1)
@engrmunirazam
@engrmunirazam 8 жыл бұрын
In maximization, maximum value of f(x) will survive and other will eliminate, here f(x1) is greater so 0 to x2 will eliminate, isn't it?

Not expected such a poor explanation from a prof at IITK . Even ethically speaking, it's too bad to explain wrong things. NPTEL is a very good idea and I'm grateful for the benefits I've been reaping out of it. But I wish such bad lectures just get deleted from their database.
