I noticed that L=L(x,u,lambda,t). Since the definition of L involves x_dot term, I was wondering why is L not a function of L(x,x_dot,u,lambda,t)? To follow up on that, the sufficient conditions are eventially given in terms of delta_x and delta_u. If you have included x_dot within the input arguments of L, I imagine in the sufficient condition we would have had terms associated with delta_x_dot.
