It's a similar thing with Fan Club. The original design was based on the actual singer who performed the song. That person left the group by the time Megamix was made, so they got someone else to perform the song and redesigned the game to look like the new person. It's not some random redesign.

There's information online about it. The original singer was Erina of Canary Club, who performed the Japanese version of Fan Club in the original version. She left Canary Club by the time of Megamix, so they decided to let a new talent, Ari~sa, perform a new version, with a new arrangement even.

Or it's probably because Rhythm Tengoku Gold (Rhythm Heaven DS) came out a year before Rhythm Heaven and that Nintendo didn't know what to do with English localization at that point. Granted, they did better with the song localization in Fever since they knew by that time that RH overseas would become a hit and that Nintendo probably looked at some complaints and or thought to themselves that they needed to do better.

A minor complaint I have is the positioning. Namely, if we're going with the vertical-to-horizontal transition comparison, the upper middle should be on the bottom left, the upper right girl should be on the bottom middle, the lower left girl should be on the upper middle, and the lower middle should be on the upper right. Otherwise, these are very nice designs.

In a sense, they are positioned correctly. If you look at their positions like reading a book (each row from left to right), they are in the same order. There’s also no way to get the “You” girl in the bottom right corner by just rotating the DS version’s layout. (You’d have to “flip” then)

They should have kept Mona & the playable Cheer Reader in this version, I don't know why those two were replaced. I think it's cuz Ringside(Wario Where?) and Cheerleaders are both in Megamix and and so we can see that Both Mona & The Playable Cheer Reader Have Grown Up!

@@tox2564 If you don't want to believe that Mona & the Playable Cheer Reader are in the "Dazzles", that's fine, I just thought the "Dazzles" fit both characters very well, seeing how it's similar to "Cheer Readers", and how Mona was a cheerleader in smooth moves, and the fact that Mona wears red a lot! I do however think you should have said them instead of those, because they're people not objects.

Japanese audio is a lot better in my opinion. I don’t mind the English singers for the rhythm heaven fever games but for the ds games, it just sounds kinda off.
