The way I'm understanding is that a quince dress is just as important as a wedding dress maybe, or a baby name. Just like it's foul to steal your friends wedding dress or baby name, it's foul to steal a quince dress as well. She said she really likes the sparkly aspects of dresses, and the dresses she chose definitely lacked in sparkle but made up for it in those butterfly lace parts. Honestly…L friend. It’s so shitty to knowingly take your friends dress. Quinces are really important even I know this and I didn’t even get to have one. Quinces are a once in a lifetime experience, so you’d want everything to be memorable, and special to you. So imagine your dream that you’ve already begun to imagine being crushed because your friend thinks she rocks the dress you just so happen to have chose. You can tell even by the way she’s talking how she purposely is pushing for the dress…knowing what she knows that’s weird to me. And the other peoples reactions are way worse. No wonder the girl is a bit ‘me..me. me!‘ smh.

I graduated in 1990 and for an entire year I told all my friends that I wanted a mermaid dress and I drew pictures of what I wanted. One of my best friends chose the same dress pattern as me. She told me this a month before grad and I was so choked I picked a different pattern. It's been 34 years and I'm still disappointed with her. At least at your Quince you're not wearing the same dress as everyone else because it's your night. Not like your HS Grad when everyone in your class dresses up.
