Congrats! I own one too! It feels and sounds amazing! Sure, there are more powerful synths out there, but Cobalt's friendly interface is worth more than many gizmos! 🙂

Yes you can turn off the metronome while you're recording very simple it's easy once you know how I love this guy thank you for the videos brother

@Racebloggen-TV - Just thought I'd add my 2p worth mate. I was in the same situation as you last month, I was looking at buying my first ever synth, and I watched about 100 KZbin demos of just about every synth in the £500 ish price range. It took weeks to decide, and in the end I narrowed it down to a choice between the Minilogue xd, Argon 8, and Cobalt 8. I mainly want to make ambient types of music, and judging by the sounds I heard, plus information about the overall build quality and the keys, plus the ease of use for a beginner, plus I wanted a good sequencer and arpeggiator. I finally decided on the Cobalt 8. I can confirm that it's a very good quality synth, and not too difficult to get great sounds out of it quite quickly. At the end of the day you can spend forever watching KZbin videos and suffer from option paralysis, so if you want one, you've just got to bite the bullet and go with whichever synth suits your needs but I'd definitely recommend the Cobalt 8.
