I love the topics …. ! I live in Cuenca and would love to visit. I’ve been a student and teacher of Advaita Vedanta… nonduality, and yoga. I had a podcast a few years ago, it’s still on Spotify, and interviewed several spiritual teachers. (The Inner Quest Podcast). There are a couple of episodes on my KZbin channel. As a yoga teacher I crashed and went through deep depression … yoga wasn’t enough. You’re right about spiritual bypassing. It can take years to see it. Great job. I really like the discussion format. Sorry, it's been a while, the stuff you were saying about reality are definitely similar to things that I have mentioned a few months ago. Nice to know that I have some compadres in that. It takes courage to come out and say things like that, many people are unable to accept some of those aspects, it's much easier to just live in the moment and take your experience as it is presented to you by authoritative sources in control of this existence. It's in their interest to maintain the illusions because that means they have control of you. It matters what shape this place is to a point, mostly just to strip away a layer of illusion with demonstratable truths, like not being able to detect 8" per mile squared of curvature, that is a freeing thing because it means that this place is an infinite plane, it is a stationary place that everything in the sky rotates around, the sun is not larger than the moon, both are luminaries and they aren't solid object that can be traveled too and walked on or different distances from us, does it effect your basic daily duties, no, however it reifoces the truth that you are not a cosmic accident floating in infinite nothing, this life matters and ypur actions are being observed, you are in a test and you are going to have to choose the difficult path or trade something to get the easy path which depending upon how materialistic or power hungry ypu are might involve doing bad to others in some way, even if it's highly disconnected, to obtain your ambitions. Your inner knowing will guide you. If you have a difficult choice, take some time and if you are spiritually connected you will be bombarded with spititual assistance. I am sorry these get ao long, sometimes I hope that I come off coherently, I appreciate being privileged with your interactions and thank you for sharing your thoughts and feelings as well.

My quiet place mentally is a clearing in a bamboo stand beside a river in Vilcabamba. In the years I lived there I would often sit by the river and calm my mind. Not sure it was consciencely meditation, but it was contemplation and it was cathartic. Life up here can be like a five alarm fire drill 24 seven. The steps of encountering Vilcabamba and finding a living place and eating healthy etc are steps that CAN lead to a quiet time. A time for honest self examination. The video game analogy, the simulation....is not a metaphor, its literal. Our mind is a model, a simulation of .....something. Our model isn't even in real time, its fractions of a second late. Northing in our mental model of the "real" doesn't come from our senses. Its all hearsay. We all know this. We agree that it IS reality, but that is a suspension of disbelief. But our senses are limited, very limited. Science builds instruments to sense "reality" and those instruments and experiments show things that don't fit our model. The double slit being a favorite. Einstein couldn't fit quantum reality into his model but test after test tells us it is part of the objective "REAL". The dog watches the clock. He knows its doing something but has no clue what. We are like that, we soak in an existence we have no tools to (totally) understand. The model needn't be painful, it is our model, we made it, we can modify it. I am looking forward to my personal spiritual path along the river among the bamboo in Vilcabamba.

Thank you for sharing your thoughtful and honest conversation My brief thoughts: We both are and are not. We are the finite expressions of the great unmanifest infinite. The reality we find our conscious awareness in is not a video game or simulation. A video game or simulation does not have the chi/prana/intelligent energy that flows from within and is not alive. Hardship can be a trap where a person lives in negative thoughts and emotions or it can be catalyst for growth if you choose. You always have choice. We are all one, see the other and see yourself.

I know the mystery. I won’t say it but I will say there are many that know the mystery. All of the worlds best artist and ppl in control know the mystery and we all also have a different bloodline. 😊 if y’all are on the path and honesty want the rt things to read I can direct u to the correct books to read. Here's the deal with that, joining the club, accepting privileges in this existence is a trap, if you want to ascend and leave this existence you can't become a tool of the Notnilc and enforce the oppression of the masses. Cypher wasn't a character who resonated with anyone's inner knowing as a righteous being.

I got all confused… my meditation is praying, going 1 on 1 with God. After a good talk with him, my soul is strengthened and ready to keep on going and face what’s causing me pain. But knowing God has my back and that I have to go through whatever I’m going through because it is needed for my to grow and learn something.

You mentioned video games and then “as above, so below.” I was going to say that you can apply that philosophy to video games but the group went into a discussion about that.
