Modals II describes about the use of modals according to the closeness of relationship. If relationship is very close like friend, mother or grand mother modal can is used for permission, suggestion or any other remarks. It is quite informal. Modal could is used to show the formal relationship between father, uncle or any other relationship. Could is formal . For polite request would you like to or will you is used. On the other hand modal will is used with strangers or far relationship like master and servant. For ability, possibility and necessity modals can be used according to the relationship.
