You misunderstood what I said. The on use effect happens when you use the page, yes. The problem you had last time, was you used manifest EGO first, so you had not yet spent light on the other pages. It restored the light that it cost, but not any more, and when you used the other pages it spent the light for them then. That's why you were short on light after using it.

I see, I think I'm understanding a bit more now. In my mind I was like "huh so that must be a universal thing" which, well isn't the case. That's a confusing way of going about things, I always thought it was more straightforward than that

Yeah it is a bit complicated, basically when you slot a page in it 'reserves' the light needed for its cost, but it doesn't actually spend that light until you use that page (barring some exceptions I don't remember off the top of my head). Light restoring effects from pages, staggering/killing an enemy, etc, can only restore actually spent light, not reserved light. Edit: That's also why anything that restores light On Combat Start, or having net light gain effects on ranged pages, is less useful, because those almost always try to restore light before you've spent it yet. Edit2: Okay I looked in the code to refresh my knowledge, light is spent immediately with instant pages (duh), pages defending against mass attacks, and pages with counter dice.

​@@ShadowKittehthere is also a mod that keep your light that restore pass max limit light when you didn't use all of page that spend light, in the end of combat turn and restore those light that past limit. Do you want the mod, i can send you on Discord?

Oh yeah i should let you know. The first half of the fights with story, (up to olga as far as i know), gain a passive called "trial/test of strength" if you use geburas floor. It gives them inverse myongest (if your faster, they gain power) also general receptions of this mod can be access by slotting, the list [L corp survivor list] by itself.

I hate Katya fight, it is soft turn limit. When one of his card reach 40 music note, every time he use a page with 40 music note on target, that target lose 1 light. It make you run out of light completely if you dont end the fight fast.
