I do actually like security breach, but man I wished they delayed the game instead of rushing it out because they had a deadline. This game could of honestly been the best fnaf game ever made if it had 1 or 2 more years of development

I wished we knew more about why so much was cut and changed. Especially stuff that was almost if not completely finished. That's hours and hours of work they put into it(mid covid too) that they don't get to see come to light. Like,who made the decision to switch up some of the plot points so much? Some I can see for running issues,game was buggy enough without having to run more stuff. But still,insane how much was taken out that was practically done. The game almost unrecognizable from the first few trailers. Think why i find the game interesting, you can tell how much they wanted to do that they had to change or take out for time,performance and unknown inner decisions. Cant imagine how much work went into everything.

It’s actually insane. If you haven’t seen it, I recommend TetraBitGamings lost bits videos on Security Breach. It truly puts into perspective how much was cut. From what I understand, much of the cuts came from the lore changing, Scott not telling them things, time, and the fact that Steel Wool at the time was NOT prepared to make a game like this. They were an exclusively VR studio, and doing something this big was well outside their skill set at the time. I have no doubt that if security breach started development right now, and got the same amount of time, it would turn out wayyy better because the dev team has improved massively. But in my opinion, SB was kinda doomed from the start in a way(doesn’t make it any less sad to see how much got cut though)

I think I remember why Security Breach was changed with so much progress on it. I recall watching a Game Theorists video on SB after it came out with MatPat saying he predicted exactly what would happen and that he even got an email from a dev. That’s why they changed a lot of stuff.

Blast to the Past, The Remains, and Fragmented Realities are all mods that are supposed to re-add a lot of the old content, but each of them have things different about them that seemingly make each of them worthy of having. It makes me really excited that for each person who values different stuff in their security breach playthroughs, there will be a mod for them. Blast to the past aims to add cut content in addition to some exploration mechanics and messages, so if you want a mostly vanilla experience with just the cut areas, there's that. Fragmented Realities is claiming to be doing a full game overhaul with its own separate launcher that completely changes huge portions of the game, making it almost unrecognizable from the base security breach, so for people who want a whole new experience, there's that. And then The Remains is being worked on by the same people who made the Montyverse, Chaos, and Multiverse mods to put their own spin on the re-addition of cut content. Then there's of course Polar's Cut Maps doing little mini updates adding back old areas one by one, meanwhile all the other mods I mentioned won't be out for a really long time. It seems like in a year or two, there will be a cut content mod for whatever your desire of level of modification to the base game is.

The reason you had so many bugs and problems like loading bugs, is because a lot of the mods you put on are incompatible with eachother. That’s why the backstage was bugged at the beginning, the atrium should not be loaded in at all times ^^

I still can't imagine what made the devs cut some of these areas, most of them would have had atleast utility as shortcuts. But that's Security Breach for ya... Also the Endos at 21:17 are awesome, definitely more intimidating than in the base game and they have a resemblance to TJOC Endos, which is funny since they share the "Weeping Angel" mechanic.

I imagine most of the cuts came down to performance. Like the backstage is awesome, but for it to work well you’d need to have it be a loading zone for rockstar row, the glamrock salon, chicas bakery, and the entirety of the atrium

Same with the reason why the elevators "don't work". There orignally wasn't going to be elevators and it was a straight shot into the atrium from the lobby. But due to the massive amount of loading and the fzcf no one would be able to run it, they implemented the elevators to hide the loading zone.

There should legitimately be a director's cut of the game that just puts all of this cut content in. If players were given the options that this cut content has to offer, they could legitimately have full control of how to progress through the game with even more options at their disposal. a true to its word open world exploration game. Would you rather get clearance or a cool gadget? it's your choice! Don't have a backstage pass but you got a screwdriver? Use the vents! Got someone on your tail chasing you nonstop? You can strategize with hiding in vents, lockers and whole new corridors to lose them in. Not to mention the speedrun possibilities this would offer. Just think of the possibilities this could add to the game? It genuinely looks like a massive missed opportunity, but time constraints are time constraints.

now we just need the 5 night mechanic that was planned but scrapped half way through cause "it would be too much work"... cause it was origonally gonna be 5 nights you have a set amount of time for each night to do stuff instead, and animatronics would actually free roam, also would of given Vanny alot more ways to interact with the Vanny meter activating a few times every night making her go aggresive, also would of been a much better Afton boss fight to, also could of got the Freddy bossfight which was planned and has audio for but no gameplay in the files

@@NekoCatt I always figured it was due to the animatronics searching High & Low for you. Chica makes full sense since she eats out of the garbage constantly throughout it. Monty is constantly breaking through gates & climbing to the top of the railing in Monty Golf. Roxy I actually feel like she should've been clean the entire time. She had gone back to her dressing room at some point and with how much she cares about her looks. She would stay pretty clean. Freddy got attacked, powered down, dragged, torn apart, ect So Freddy makes sense as well. Not to mention Im sure the animatronics are flipping over bins, crawling through stuff, going underground & into the depths looking for Gregory. So I would assume there'd be some dirt & scuffs on em from all of that

Did the devs not know how to do LOD? Performance is the only reason I can think of for cutting most of those views, since they seem to be loading the entire map and not a lower detail render for that vantage specifically. (As an aside the interconnectedness and vantages of far off areas makes me think of dark souls, but that could just be because dissecting dark souls is great)

most of the cut map restoration mods are incompatible with each other. if you have raceway window or rtx lobby or both, it tends to not work with other map mods. I just use polar's map mod along with the fazcade mod since polar's mod adds most of the areas all in one mod anyway

monty does not work due to navmesh(navigational mesh) no being recreated, if you dont get it navmesh tells enemy ai where they can walk and because its using the old navmesh for the hallway so even though you can walk ai gets confused

For all of these, you just drag them into the pak folder. You don’t need any mod loaders or anything
