Flux Mopeds has some scooters going really cheap on clearance.... if you can build your own battery pack. www.fluxmopeds....
Let's take a look at building a pack and why this is a great platform to work with for a modded electric vehicle.
This is a 2012 model year Flux Mopeds EM-1. They still have a few, but WITHOUT BATTERIES. If you are handy, and can build your own battery pack, you can buy one of these BRAND NEW for $950!

Yes it has a VIN, and comes with A Manufacturer's Certificate of Origin (MCO), also known as a Manufacturer's Statement of Origin (MSO)

it´s mono sound - use Audio Equalizer addon Firefox and click in mono - then you will hear it in both ears:)

I'm traveling 12 miles to work and back from work, is it better for me to get a 500 watt 1000 watt or 2000 watt electric scooter ? And which 1 will have a better performance ?

Start with a 1000 watt bicycle, so you get the know the tech. Then go for a 2000-3000 Watt scooter. In China, they are taking old Honda motorcycles and converting to electric. Since they are already street legal, and have titles you can do the same here. Buy a rear hub motor, add batteries and controller. You are set.

It's just a scooter. Nothing unusual about it. Just whatever applies in your area. Needing a driver's license, but NOT a motorcycle license is pretty typical.
