MODDING the Mcfarlane Keaton, Pattinson, and Knightfall Batman - new capes, hands, and headsculpt!

"ya know not everybody like onions!"... I absolutly cannot get keatons cowl to come off, usually McFarlane only glues in a couple spots but on mine the entire cowl is completely glued to the shoulders!

Wow, someone finally noticed the meme😂 and yeah, taking the cowl off is no party. It'll require some heat and a clever hand with a blade. I used hot water and an xacto, but it was pretty intimidating to do!

Excellent figures! I too have reworked my set (same ones) but I do like your set a lot. Your Keaton is top drawer! Only thing he needs is black trim on the bat emblem on his chest, and just a layer of gloss. Otherwise, a SUPERB figure! That new cowl has me drooling! I may have to find one! Is it resin or plastic? All three figures rock! Thanks for sharing them!

Thanks a lot friend! I believe the Keaton headsculpts is resin, but the eBay description described it as "carved" which I guess is the same thing. Link in the description if you want one!

Thanks for this. Question. Once you have the cowl detached from the bat symbol, do you then need to peel the cowl off the figure to add the custom cape or will having it detached from the symbol allow enough room to slide it under? I don’t have the cape yet but was curious if I needed to take that next step and actually peel the cowl off the upper body. Thanks again for all the information!

@@dan9697 hi there, thanks for watching! Yep, best to just take the entire cowl off from the figure so you can line everything up properly. The cowl is a very tender piece of plastic, so you don't want it in the way as you're slotting the cape inside.

@@play-or-display awesome, thank you. After boiling, did you just sort of peel it back slowly? Is there any glue connecting the cowl on the neck? I just want to be as careful as possible. Thanks again!

@@dan9697 understood!! If I'm remembering right, there is a cylindrical sculpt underneath the cowl that makes up the neck, so you can either peel it off of that cylinder or cut it off completely and glue it back later. No matter what you do, going slowly is the best thing to do!

@@play-or-display one last question. Do you remember if you did the peel back method or cut it off? Just trying to decide which would be easiest with the least chance of damage to the cowl. I really appreciate your help with this!

The gray is just too light in the knightfall batman fig.....its off putting

I don't mind it too much, since it kind of works with the blue to make it feel more comic book. Maybe some cell-shading would've looked nice?
