What company did you pickup the bear claw latches for the model A

I don't remember, I bought them 15 years ago. I think they were the generic ones you can buy at a hot rod show or from Speedway.

Its too bad this only works if you don't have any glass in your doors. I have a 36 Pontiac with glass and I am trying to figure out how to the handle to work.

The same principle should work with glass. You might have to shorten the action up a bit or bend the arm into an arc or use a cable run thru a piece a tubing out of the way of the glass.

Did you make those braces for inside the doors? I'm working on an Essex and have been thinking of doing something like that.

Yes. I actually made the entire door from scratch with an aftermarket door skin.

@@QuickSpeedShop But that's what I need to know! :D But seriously. I'm putting model A handles on a boat hatch and I'm having to be creative to get it to work. I think I've got it figured out after watching your video. Watching the linkage is what gave me the idea.

@@rushwal Oh sorry! What I did was drilled a round hole and used a tiny triangular file to file the corners of the hole square. Took a little bit, worked good.
