I'm convinced there's a lot more model car shows south of us than we have in this state. Once again, lots of beautiful builds on the tables and plenty of wallet busting goodies on the vendor tables....and not to mention...biscuits and gravy!!

I told them at the show that I think the MOST asked question in the modeling community is "Is there anyone who can make some custom decals for me"? Guys are always looking for someone to do that.

You know what my fav is... That yellow AWB 57 with the injector stacks sticking up ridiculously in the air. The rusted-out ford wagon gets and honorable mention. I could not judge these. I would have to take the worst of them all, and go from there, but I could not find any. Outstanding job to all contestants.

They put on a very nice show, unbelievably large bunch of really nice builds in the contest. I was part of this club when it first began (1985), went to their last meeting and was blown away at how many talented and highly skilled builders are in this club today. IDK but I'm sure it's well over 50% of the guys in it can build with the best. You showed them off well, great video. Thanks for sharing

I use to build models about 22years ago, I did that Penzoil Top Fuel dragster and won 1st place in out class back then, engine work is everything when it can be seen, was building the Hot Wheels Deora, a lot of super glue and sanding to make that kit a one piece body look, make a bed cover and surf boards and black out the windows, as it was only a mock up design for the Hot Wheels look with Redlnes

I had the Animal House Death Mobile with the Eat Me Cake/Float, the tiny (1/35 scale) German wrecker, The blue '65 Nova Gasser, the red and white weathered and lowered Ford FD-100 pick up and a blue chopped rat rod/street rod at this show.

I have a 64 and 65 chevy ll I've been working on lately. Even tho I have a ton of other models too, and I usually order a few hundred dollars worth of aftermarket parts for them too. Gotta make them look as real and as detailed as possible. Hoping to show them at some point soon. Or maybe even build a diorama 😃. I usually take my models and build some nasty wicked hot rods. If I buy a stock model, it doesn't stay stock long lol. I cut the backs out of them and tub them, cage them and build wicked engines for them lol

@THROTTLEPOWER yes sir!! 😃 I built a replica of an old 76 chevy truck I owned as a kid. But since I don't have the real thing anymore I do have that model still sitting in a case with a chrome bottom. I went through probably 20 different models just to get the things I needed to build that replica. It took me about 6 months or so to build it lol. So now I have tons of other models to put together yet still sitting in the boxes. I have to finish my 64 and 65 chevy ll's also yet. One was a gasser and the other was all stock. It ain't stock anymore lol. I built a big block for that one and added some Weld Draglite wheels. Made it look sweet! 😃👍✌️

@THROTTLEPOWER yeah I wish I could post some videos and pics but I haven't figured out how to do that yet for youtube since I don't do Facebook anymore. I have some pretty kool stuff. I collect all types of toys, racing mini bikes, super fast RC cars, planes, trains, Tonka, lol too much. Glad I have a good job to help pay for all that. I'd have more money if I didn't have so many projects lol. Means more models and hot wheels. I have tons of those and different name brands.
