Sounds like your USPS office is as incompetant as mine. I get that "held" notice too, bit they generally deliver in a day or two. I am disabled and homebound, and cannot go to the PO. I also occasionally get a silly "handed directly to resident" notice, when they actually put it in my mailbox, I never saw him. Irritating. 🤨 And packages are usually "dump&dashed" as I call it. Tossed over my fence onto the ground then he drives off! 😡
