These are the most realistic signals ive seen on youtube.. the gates have the right speed going up and down! Great video

Thanks for the great comments. The gates are made by NJ International, the controller is by Grade crossing Pro and the bell sound unit is by ITT.Gates are controlled by Tortoises by I recommend getting a Switch Master switch machine.

I love NJ International signals. I previously had Tomar and then switched to NJ. NJ signals look better and actually come pre-wired with resistors already attached! I had so many issues with Tomar with keeping the wires connected and making sure I had the correct resistors. Plus, Tomar's signals are bigger than scale whereas NJ actually looks more like the real thing and at correct scale.

nice crossing signals
@trainman198614 жыл бұрын
Very realistic and cool, I seen some of these at my local hobby shop, one question does the gate motor come seperate? I assume you also have to buy the detection circuitry as well.
@prorobo15 жыл бұрын
The NJ International gates aren't too bad I suppose. They still lack the awesome gate flashing lights of the Signalogic units but I suppose I'll have to give these a go. I especially love the accurate prototypical functions of the bell and lights as they stop when the gates begin going up and not after.

Do you use one Tortoise machine per gate, or does one machine control both gates? Also, why do you recommend the Switch Master switch machine? I'm not familiar with that one... just wondering, cause I plan on doing the same with my own crossing gates... Thanks! Rick

@Silver1Sprg -Each gate has its own Tortiose. The voltage to them is reduced by the gate controller to get the slow speed action. Only problem is you lose your torque and the gates don;t always go down smoothly. Switchmaster will have higher torque. Jeff

How's your very nice games that came down so real it was all the technology why didn't they make those little red lights on the bar flash have it it really gave me a happy day feeling but nice I like it Deli Delicious my friend

Where did you get those Farmland 3 bay hoppers? Are those Athearn models? The farmland plant here in Albert Lea MN burned down about 10 years ago, and I have always wanted a farmland car or to as kind of a "Memento" to the plant.

Very nice, well done, bravissimo, das ist gut, pretty fricking good.

just a Tortoise under the benchwork. 0.015 wire attached directly to switch machine. I recommend getting a SwitchMaster switch machine ( more torque)
