I have been using goldenrod for a long time, with the same technique. I'm glad someone with some public reach shared a tut video about it. I have tons of the solidago trees, they look so good, and you can make bunches of different specie trees with it.

ger deguelle thanks, I was worried that because I had to explain it over one photo, that it would be complicated to follow.

At the moment, I am in the midst of making gobs of trees for my forested mountainside. I don't have goldenrod, but I have a lacecap hydrangea in my garden that gives me endless armatures, good for canopy trees. I add some "SuperTrees" store bought around the perimeter. General rule is, keep your eye out for anything that looks like a tree!

I'll have to try the lacecap hydrangea.

Looking Good Ben, Honestly, I think I like the Long Shadows Trees More, It seems its more open and tru to color, even though I have made hundreds from Golden Rod, its great to make trees and bushes out of. Thanks For the TIPS, Steve

banjol4595 - I agree, I'm going to mix and match all type of trees. That way it looks more natural than just a bunch of similar (golden rod) trees.

Hey Ben I have a question ? do you know anyone around you that uses NCE dcc and if so can you see if you can make a video on making consists with that system, I realy want to make longer trains and I can only do that with 2 engines and I tried it and the engines need to be speed matched and I need help doing that with that system new to it all
@NSTrainFan11 жыл бұрын
The closest person I know that uses NCE lives about 4 hours away from me. Everyone around me uses Digitrax. Sorry about that trackspike64

hey Ben if I had all that golden rod by me I would make tons of trees and sell those one bay ,why don't you do that or long shadow I saw his trees they are nice ,but if there is the golden rod and they looked awesome why buy others ...love your videos I always look forward to Tuesday .....
@NSTrainFan11 жыл бұрын
I don't want to use all the same type of tree look. That's the reason I will buy other's trees and try other types of tree sources. That will give a more realistic effect. Also, I got rid of the expansion idea a long time ago, when I realized I didn't have the room or funds to focus on it.
@trackspike6411 жыл бұрын
yeah that was another thought and I see ur point wow that's to bad about the expansion wish you could of done something it would of looked gr8
