Yes, I uh, do have a short fuse when it comes to my parents as well. I understand this all too well, but at least you made adjustments to protect your layout more. At the end of the day, we can all have our grudges, but whenever we explode, we have to make amends somehow. Perhaps don't threaten her with violence, whether you meant it or not.

perhaps the issue wouldve been resolved if your table had more stable support, your mom did it by accident and was trying to help clean it. i personally feel like you were a bit harsh considering it was an honest mistake and it was mostly the fault of your table not being sufficient for having a layout on it. one of my irl friends whos making a layout built an incredibly sturdy table which youre able to stand on without it budging at all (comfirmed because i tried before there was any track or anything ontop of it) i feel like its just time you built a new table to put your layout on

Maybe so, but that doesn't make his behavior any less despicable. Honestly, I love my mother too much to get that angry over an *accident*! Would I be disappointed? Sure, maybe even a bit frustrated. But if it was an honest mistake and she was apologetic for it, I would forgive her, because she is a good woman, and I am a good and grateful man; she would deserve forgiveness. After all, model trains, while expensive and sometimes difficult to procure, are *far less valuable* than a close relationship to another human, especially a mother-son relationship. Model trains can be repaired and salvaged *far more easily* than broken human relationships can be. When you damage a parent-child relationship as savagely as this KZbinr did, it can be *very* hard to repair that.
