Brief details about XG. They are a group of 7 ladies from Japan but operate out of Korea. They are exceptional rappers, singers, and dancers. The are signed to the company XGALX. The CEO is also the creator and producer, Simonn, also known as JAKOPS. Their title tracks are all in English. They trained intensely for 5 years before they debuted in March of 2022. They are not really considered k-pop but "X-pop" instead since they dive into many different genres. Their lore is that they are "Galactic Wolves" traveling the galaxy conquering planets. It's actually seven of them. In chronological order you see Cocona (skeleton outfit), Jurin (looks like Princess Mononuke), Harvey (flower girl) and Maya (blonde in white) which are the rap line all rapping two verses on the song and then you see Juria (flying mermaid in black and white), Hinata (Earth goddess) and Chisa (girl in pink). They all take turns singing the chorus except for Harvey but you hear her singing a part of the pre-chorus the second time. XG is actually sponsored by Nike and they've even done a Nike photoshoot last year so you'll see them wear Nike often.

So XG has 3 vocalists and 4 rappers. The vocalists are portrayed as goddesses providing support from above while the rappers are warriors fighting on the front line. XG's entire concept is about being aliens from outer space. Here you see them invading this new planet and returning it back to normal. Their fandom are called "ALPHAZ," hence all the wolf elements and how they carry themselves as a wolfpack. The director of this mv is Cho Gi-Seok, a Korean surrealist artist, who also directed their other mvs - Woke Up and Grl Gvng. He's good at blending surrealism with cultural realism. This mv is a homage to Michael Jackson with references to his "Earth Song", Thriller, moonwalk, "dangerous". The 4 rappers are "warriors" and the 3 vocals are "goddesses". Jurin, the leader, is dressed as the warrior Princess Mononoke. XG is an alien wolf pack - that's the lore and the concept. The name of the fandom is Alphaz. Basically "Howling" is about them coming to planet earth to heal and restore Mother Nature and free the humans who have been enslaved by technology. this song and woke up are so my style love them. Also they 7 of them all japanese based in south korea with english lyrics on their official tracks. Besides that they are pretty much 4 rappers 3 vocalists but all can do both actually.
