This kit is really good. I've got one and I can vouch for the quality. The sergeant/mounted archer bodies could also be used for 1390s men at arms and the various other bodies and helmet evolutions, cover the period up to 1430. I also use them as ASOIAF miniatures, though obviously more realistic and mundane than the tv shows and the wargame. You can get at most of the seven kingdoms, excluding some of Dorne and the Iron Islands, to certain degrees. 3:35 is a style of visor where the eyeslits would be small vertical gaps cut for eyeholes in order to further protect the eyes, stopping someone from slipping a dagger or sword in. It reduced visibility even more, but often knights didn't usually need visibility having the visors up for most of a battle, only putting them down when about to go into combat.

Mounted bowmen, light horse, part of the Perry box, HenryV army had both. Forget shields, plate was more advanced, along with two handed weapon's.

I love how you can build 4 fully armored knights AND 2 lightly armored dudes from the same sprue. Only limiting thing is horses, and Perry sell extra loose horses. (Well, at least it seems like you can, still waiting for my boxes).

Is an option with bowmans on horse just an option, or you are actualy missing pieces to make more than a few "knights"? Also, do you happen to know if perre miniatures fit into LOTR horses? I don't think you have reviewed any LOTR sets, but mayby, as a wargamer, you just so happen to have collected them as well.
@guardbeardiabeardio1273
@guardbeardiabeardio1273 5 жыл бұрын
I believe it is just an option, since the bow hand is a direct hand attachment to a handless arm. And when it comes to LOTR sets, its a hard thing to say because its almost like Games Workshop dropped their heroic scale for LOTR models. Even then, I cant say for sure, because I have none of them on hand for a direct comparison.

Im running these guys in my d&d campaign thats bases in the 100 years war. How do they hold up to reapers models do you know???
@guardbeardiabeardio1273
@guardbeardiabeardio1273 5 жыл бұрын
Reaper models are cheap, and flexible, and are in a very strange heroic scale. I believe you will also get more for your money when using Perry miniatures for the hundred years wars type battles since they are very strict in their accuracy.

so if i counted right u have parts to make 18 knights but u have horses only for 12?

correct, easily solveable by buying the cheap extra horse sprues on the website. you can easily have more knights in this box just by buying extra hawses.

@@guardbeardiabeardio1273 one last question, to play someone some games with these miniatures ,can use the lion rampant rules right? is there any other rules book that require small armies?
@guardbeardiabeardio1273
@guardbeardiabeardio1273 5 жыл бұрын
@@arxwng As far as Im aware, you can use these models with all kinds of actions. A lot of players use these in 9th Age, which can be scaled up and down point wise. The models themselves are not important, as any real rulebook can allow you to use whatever model you want to the rulset itself.
