Those Aloun Farm folks are fabulous! I was wondering where the heck you were launching, then it occurred to me: read Ron’s video notes! Excellent launches as usual, Ron… You are doing great work with students.

Hopefully, we'll have more certification flights in the future.

3-foot-tall grass will hide rockets without parachutes very well. No beeper on that section either? Overall, looked like lots of fun launching the full range of rockets from small to large! Kudos to the video crew and editor.

No matter big or small, rockets are all fun!

I see the new Estes launch rail during this launch. How do you like it?

Haven't used it. Belongs to Dr. Hudson. I think he used it once. Doesn't like the plastic parts and said he'll replace them.

Rocket certification seems ridicules to me. Level 1, You push a button the rocket goes up and you chase it down to retrieve it. Level 2 You push a button the rocket goes up a bit higher and you chase it down to retrieve it.

You’re right. What goes up eventually must come down (except the occasional tree grab). Some people only do HPR and have no experience with LPR. To each their own. Thanks for watching.

People who comment on videos about subject matter they find ridiculous seem ridiculous to me. Specially when they can’t even spell the word ridiculous.

Congrats on your certification. I did mine a few years ago using the Estes Nike Smoke. I found that everything you learn in low power rocketry is used in high-power. My Nike Smoke went 3,400 feet on an H135W-8A. I had to walk 3/4 of a mile to recover it, but my goal was to certify using an Estes product. I like low power. I just want to get level-2 for the knowledge and the recognition. My most fun flights are on the lower power.
