Hi train friends! Welcome to the first installment of a brand new series of videos TRAIN SHOW TOURS!
Come along with me and EXPERIENCE the greatest hobby on earth, model railroading! For this first video I visited the Greenburg show in Monroeville, PA 2/26/22 right here in my backyard just outside Pittsburgh PA. I thought about trying to contact Greenberg's to see if they would have a show in Morgantown it's an hour-and-a-half closer for me. Since covid it seems like all of that stuff even online has went up about 25 to 30%. When I go there it seems like I have to Circle back two or three times to go back to some items that I liked

Great coverage of the Greenberg train show I was was there on Saturday and bought 3 beer cars and a track voltage checker car I saw a couple of things I missed on the layouts but got to see them in your video great job 👍

@@PghTrainFanatic thanks for responding! I do appreciate it big time! The things I'm kinds confused on is the electrical side of things. I seen a super cool ZW Transformer post war with all original boxing in pristine condition and knew I had to have that. Now I do want to use it at first and later switch over to a more modern transformer so I don't ware out the ZW because I believe it's a super cool talking piece. But my worry is how to hook up electric to my track and especially with that. I was also advised to place a fuse some how between the ZW and the track itself so I don't burn the motor out on the ZW. So now it has me nervous to even use it at all because I don't want to ruin that awesome piece.

I haven’t been to a Greenberg show in Pittsburgh for years. Is it still hosted at that the EXPO Center? It doesn’t look like it. Greenberg shows can be hit or miss when it comes to O-scale anything sometimes. Glass you found some stuff.

It’s not called the expo anymore that was years ago. It’s now the Monroeville convention center. And they purchased one of the large buildings that used to house a large chain store next door.

So my dad was a engineer, started Rail gang in real life, my grand father was a conductor, and my great grandfather was on the rail road. My dad passed away 10 years ago and I'm 36 now and kinda wanna do this in memory of him but don't have clue where to start. O scale? S scale? What engine? Trying to learn.

Been to the Monroeville show many times I enjoy going to look but by the time you drive 2 hours One Direction pay tolls and eat pay to get in it's really not worth it any longer to come home with nothing

Great video! btw- @5:30 that runway number could NEVER happen, since runway numbers come from compass headings... so the highest number there could be is 36 (north). I loved that Star Wars park.. that was really ingenious by the person who thought of that.

I was there and I saw that S1, it was a beautiful engine. I ended up getting a Strasburg SW8 from the table next to it

One thing missing with these model trains is the smell of the engines as they pass by. (Unless there is a smell creator available).

It's called smoke units. HO scale and up make units that smoke which emit smells of your choosing.
