I’ve tried to love other boats but the lines of the Nordhavn just call to me every time! I absolutely love the more modern looking interior. Shouldn’t have watched this video as even the 43 is a big stretch for my budget but maybe just maybe.....

The interior is very retro. My late aunt had those same plastic couch covers in the 1970s. ;) Kidding! I know they are there to protect it during commissioning. The size does "feel" pretty good. A nice compromise between cost, ease of handling and capability. Not sure how I feel about the ship's wheel on the bridge though. Hmmm.

Unfortunately other shipyards whose made there boats to look some more glamor do not make one navigability enough (Nordhavn 475 look great but looks too utilitarian)

I like how the back door is not at deck level there's a small step up that helps to keep water from coming in if the aft was swamped

Nice lines as with all Nordhavn vessels. Needs: • A day-head on the main level for greater convenience. • Greater refrigeration (full size fridge-freezer for extended voyages. • Enclosed flybridge for weatherproofing.

Not much room to move around if you have one in the pilot house. You usually have the boat on autopilot and monitor from the bench seat.

Theoretically the two beta Marine engines that you use in the n 41 would probably work just as well in the n475 I wonder what the displacement between the two yachts are you might lose a knot speed because of the 475 the larger boat but I can deal with that nordhovan are not meant to go fast

Beautiful boat. Out of intrest, probably a stupid question but could you take a boat like this to Antarctica or would you need specialist equipment/upgrades?

You can, but it wouldnt be very smart. Its a fiberglass hull, which means random chunks of ice could be dangerous, and icebergs could mean the end of the trip, and you. You would definitely prefer an aluminum hull, or really a steel hull like what the Bering Yachts have. Secondly its a bit small which means small crew. In Antarctica there is no help coming for you anytime soon if something goes wrong. So its preferable to have atleast a 6 man crew, so you can handle an actual emergency without dying, and that you can have a 2 man look out 24/7 without crew getting fatigued. The boat is pretty small. I'd definitely instead look at a +60 foot motor yacht if you want to cruise antarctic waters, the seas there can get rough and they are very cold. If you look at sailing yachts that go to Antarctica, theyre heavily modified to be able to handle it safely. And motor "yachts" that go there are usually in the 500 foot range lol. Like for example if you have 6 souls on board, you need 6 survival suits. That takes a lot of space already.

One thing I would like is the type of wheels that they use on bearing yachts they just don't make anything as small as your 475 so it would be your company I'd buy the boat from but I would really like a really well equipped helm since whenever you want to get some point A to point b that's where you going to be spending most of your time so it has to be the most comprehensive that's doesn't double the price of the yard cuz I think that God is worth about 1.5 million dollars and with the options I want to probably push it up to 2.2 million

The 475 is new, the N47 has been around for awhile but recently disappeared from the Nordhavn web site. So, the question is still valid, why compare the 475 to the 43 instead of the 47? The 43 was more like a bigger 40 and the 41, not the 475, could be compared to the 43.

How much customization can you do such as if you want it all Mila electric cooking instead of any gas holders on board can you get that can you get like an awful of all fuel polishers dual air conditioner compressors air conditioned engine room engine setup on the salon to be made more of a salon and not a salon dining room combo there's table on the bridge with a nice setty that could be the dining room table

i would not be comfortable at sea with a fibre hull. one hit of a container etc you are sunk to the gunnels. at best its a coaster.

I love Nordhavn and the exterior of this mini ship doesn't let down. But the interior is absolutely horrible! Nordhavn is known for beautiful wooden interiors and spacious accommodation this is just not it. Very disappointed. Sorry.

Yes, I'm always concerned with window size & composition. Having a window break in rough seas, especially in the pilothouse could be catastrophic.
