Hey Justin, I've been following your videos these past few weeks to model my "dream house". You have been a tremendous help. I was wondering if you had any tips on how to sketch in a conversation pit within the model. Thank you for what you do!

Hi Justin. I enjoyed the pace of your tutorial and your no gabbing style of teaching. One question (perhaps for a future video): I am an HO scale model railroader and plan on using Fusion 360 to design and model full size prototypical buildings on the Santa Fe. That means designing in 1:1 and then scaling the design down to 1:87. How would I go about accomplishing that?

@sqwert6542 жыл бұрын
once I calibrate, I also use the calibrate tool to measure points on the reference image. Just esc instead then measure more points.

The reason I want to know that function! It's nothing else but a "police mobile armored vehicle"! I asked this question because I want to model with this program, make the parts in 1/72, 1/24, or 1/35 scale and print them out as parts with a 3D printer! 0:08

Hi there, this tutorial helped me a lot! I do have one question though. Is it possible to set the measurements to show both feet and inches? It would be nice to be able to write 7' 4" rather than 7.333'. Thanks again!

Thanks for the tutorial! One thing that I found is that it seems to be almost necessary to make each wall it's own body or component. If you end up doing detail work on the interior (for example adding window or door trim), it's really hard to get a good view of what you're doing unless you can just disappear (make invisible) walls that get in the way. Is that what others do, or am I not yet good enough with manipulating my point of view ?

Create an offset plane, press "S" and type "Section Analysis", use aforementioned plan as POV. :) You can hide and unhide each section analysis instance.

Scaling the image is a nice trick. I have used, draw a known line then make a box outside with one side the same. Then grab all and enlarge to the size I need. AKA an Aspire trick. I would like to get your input on the way I build my 3D puzzles.

Hey Justin I hope you are well. I just started using Fusion 360 and your videos have been a major help and I do plan to watch them all. I currently have most of my house including basement done. My question is in regards to the exterior landscape. My yard slopes down from the very back north east corner down towards the south west corner. Is there a way to adjust the 3d sketch so it shows and accommodates for the slope? I want to properly plan out several outdoor features such as a new enclosed deck, 4 seasons room, raised bed garden area, and a new shed. Thanks you so much for any help you can give on this as well as all of the help you have already been with these videos.

Video title is wrong - this is modelling a house from a floor plan image. You need to do a video about creating the floor plan from the model (like what we need to submit to council to get building approvals)
